ITK - Aidan McGeady / Robbie Keane

Just been speaking to a client in Glasgow who is reasonably well connected with Rangers.

He was at Parkhead on Sunday and said there was quite a lot of talk in one of the lounges about Spurs making a pretty serious run at Aidan McGeady in the summer. We've made an initial enquiry and, apparently, Celtic asked about the possibility of taking Robbie Keane in part exchange - and Spurs didn't rule it out completely.

Celtic want McGeady to stay but he's supposedly making noises behid closed doors about wanting to test himself in the Premier League.

Anyone know if there is anything in this? I've asked a mate who knows RK personally to find out if he's heard anything about it - though I know Keane thinks there's an even money chance that he won't be at Spurs next year - with Sunderland touted as a possible destination due to the fact that he's really good friends with Niall Quinn!

Another summer approaches and the Robbie Keane rumours start up again.

Firstly he wont leave Spurs for a while yet, he has just won his first ever medal with us, could be a few more coming his way if he sticks around, plus he is very loyal to the club and fans.

Secondly, he has been as important a player for us this season as Berbatov, and scored as many goals to boot. So we should be asking £30m for him as well, which no-one will pay.

Wont happen! Every time transfer window opens Keane is linked with Celtic! People seem to think he supports them but saw in interview recently he said as a child he supported Liverpool!
Im not sure about the Mcgeady bit he has been linked with us my mate who is a Celtic fan raves about him but the 3 or 4 times Ive seen him this season Ive not thought that much of him! He is ok and has potental to develop into good player but thats few years down the line! Also think he might struggle at first in premiership against the better quality of defender than they have in SPL! Im certainly dont think he is worth the apparent £12 + milion Celtic want for him at moment!
