The thing with Dragon is she only seems to come out after the event and agree, maybe I'm wrong...

that's not how I remember it Mat - but maybe i'm the one that's wrong - for me she's reliable and while often she is telling us things we kinda know - when she says it I believe it a lot more

so for example when she said Berbs is going about a month ago - that made me more inclined to believe he is leaving - of course things can change etc etc

Unfortunately some of you less rabid window watchers are showing yourselves up a bit in this thread. Had you spent as long in darkened rooms (otherwise known as the Transfer Rumours forum) as some of us sad, deluded and ultimately disillusioned souls you'd know for example that Dragon was a boy, then a girl, then a boy again (even the itk about the itk is unreliable, lol), you'd also know that they all covered themselves in anti-glory last window as the club got smart and started dishing false rumours to flush out the leaks and that far from being the best, the traditionally reliable ITK in fact became little better than the rest of us rumour mongers.

Anyway, suffice to say, it seems there's a new breed on the block with their own sources and who seem as reliable as any, whilst last years' ITK'ers have quickly become this years' lol'ers.

I take all ITK with a huge dose of salt, enough to kill me probably.

I personally don't particularly rate those ITK's that cannot construct a simple sentance and have to give their info in (badly spelt) riddles.

HH on COYS seems the most genuine ITK of all of them, without pushing his own agenda.

I dont believe any of them.. its hard to when so many of them make stuff up. Yeah sure the odd ones been right but come on most of us seen it coming.

This summer will be the tester for them and if there all wrong in huge ways, I think itk will be out the window.

Well I suppose you could. It would strike me as strange though to buy another striker, meaning we have 4 again, although this time we have Cruz who is better that Defoe. Plus we are so weak in other areas it would be mad to strengthen our strongest area with money which should be being spend on our weakest (flashbacks of last summer! :bang.

I kinda lost my respect for ben after he once said King was crocked for the season - then lo and behold Ledley played the same night (I think it was before last seasons Seville game at WHL).

I beleive Vickery has said in the past about Santa Cruz that, much like Diego, he is better suited to a smaller club with less expectations. It's something to consider, but being that we have only seen him at Blackburn and Bayern, which are polar opposites when it comes to pressure, we'll have to see.

Roque owns a fucking huge potential but had really much injury plagued career at Bayern, wouldn't mind if we buy him as he can be world class striker but Blackburn won't let him go cheap.

HH is a bit of an unusual case. He was spot on with Bent, because he knows the family personally. Not sure how ITK he is with anything else, unless he hears something through them, but as far as I recall it is just Bent.

Rather him than Diego Milito, who are similar strikers. At least you know that Santa Cruz can do it in the Prem. However, Benni McCarthy had a similar first season and has been dissapointing in this campaign.

Benny McCarthy was denied a move, perhaps Blackburn would have learnt that an unhappy player isn't worth the risk if they don't perform.

Or Cruz will learn from McCarthy that if you lose form becasue of sulking you soon find the offers dry up.

Blackburn are not in a position to take these sort of risks.
