Yes of course Boateng. Have some faith. Anyone with half the DNA of Mr T is going to be sensational in out midfield.

Oh and Liverpool sign Plessi from Lyon.

Sometimes I feel we are screwed when JJ isn't injured. THudd & KPB in my eyes

He looked at his Kingdom,
He was finally there,
To play in midfield,
For the man with no hair

Steed, Disco, Boateng, Tainio, Keane.

Seriously are you not worried that if JJ were to get injured that we'd be in all sorts of trouble?

Obviously I'm hoping that Boateng will offer the same all round displays as Jenas can in that he'll be able to basically run up and down the pitch for 90 minutes and cover Thudd and Zokora's balls ups.

But if we can't then we are relying on Tainio to do that...and we know he never lasts 90 mins. Or we play Thudd and Zokora together...which just terrifies me. Plus Zokora is actually going away with the Ivory Coast at some point.

All in all we're relying very heavily on Jenas and Boateng. One is inconsistent and the other one is an unknown quantity. It's by no means a crisis...but it's very risky.

No email? Very remiss of you, Stoof.

:-(

Right, on that rather sour point from ol' Aaron, that's me out.

I've loved my Rumour Whoring days on here, but now is a time to step out and let the other kids have a play with stuff. So come January, a couple of the new Mods will probably take-over the day-to-day running of the gaff, not to mention some new Rumour Rangers, whilst I take a semi-retired consultant-type role - mostly Image Designing and System Analysis.

Behind every great window is a great set of whores.

Remember that.

I wouldn't say I was worried. Slightly concerned yes, as The Prince is an unknown quantity at this level. Still I have been very impressed with Steed's work ethic and TT when fit can do a job. As long as the Hudd plays and Zokora doesn't return from the ACoN it's all good.

Routledge off to Celtic on season long loan deal and Ghaly just off somewhere abroad. The independent online just put it up

Top job, Stoof, may I be the first to congratulate you on all your hard work which has made Transfer Rumours required reading for Spurs fans (and a few lazy journos) all over the web.

I suppose I can't stop thinking that at the end of the day JJ and Hudd wouldn't stand a chance against Gilberto/Diarra and Fabregas. Unless Thudd really really ups his game that isn't a top four central midfield pairing.

My main hope is that Boateng turns out to be the dogs danglers, but I think he's a Jenas backup.

It has been an interesting deadline day, even though we have not signed anyone.

I was so sorry to see Lassana Diarra joining Arse.

Harry did some great business again, by signing Diop and Johnson.

Aston Villa grabbed both Salifou and Davies.

Fulham added a few including our Danny Murphy.

Newcastle added the bargain buy of Habib Beye of Marseille.

I understand your concern and personally I think our central midfield is on the weak side anyway. However, I remember very similar comments about our defence last season. 'Without Ledley we're screwed' and 'Dawson is rubbish when King isn't next to him'. But when players are out it is a chance for somebody else to step up, it's how players emerge. We have to wait and see, but I have faith enough that we will be fine. Oh and the Hudd is going to have a fantastic season.

Is there any hope for O'Hara this season in the first team? I admit I haven't seen him play but I've heard good things.

BMJ has been left out to dry......Seeing Comolli and Levy cozying up at OT, any guesses who is behind the demise? If they genuinely believe we have the strength to match/challenge the top four we and Martin were damned before we started. On that basis 'clueless' would be appropriate......which they ain't. Set up for failure. Sharks.

Any one see a stray billionaire wandering around?

I thought he went to Benfica. I really wanted us to sign him, even though I'd never seen him play.

He signed on a year loan deal. Perhaps if he has a great season we could put a convincing offer for Celta and acquire his services

On loan at Millwall at the moment, but it is only short term. I rate him. I would also be happy to see the tigerish McKenna given an outing in the holding role.
