Mentioned this ITK a couple of times before when I've fell upon a bit of news relating to us - he's a Mirror journo who posts on a Blackburn forum. He called the Crouch to Pompy rumour, that's just now hitting full flight, a couple of weeks back.

Quite big news.

Huddlestone is available. He has been offered in a swap to a Prem club - full story in morning.

Anyway, the point is he can move. I think Rovers will be aware of this. If not they will be reading it now
So it sounds like The Mirror will run with the story tomorrow morning, we're looking to bring someone in with a swap deal involving The Hudd...not Blackburn, although Nixon has said before that they would be interested in him.

Any guesses? I'd suspect the team might be Everton, as for who we're looking to get...who knows.

Seems unlikely as these kind of swap deals are very rare despite always being reported - but Nixon knows his stuff, and has a good track record.

I don't think Hudd has a future at Tottenham, so we should try and get rid of him this summer.

about Everton, we could be in for Arteta??

I'll be disappointed if Ramos has given up on the Hud so quickly.

However, Juande does see him in training every day, so is best placed to assess both his true & potential ability level and quite how motivated he is...

I'm calling this, Gardner and Huddlestone part exchange for Arteta. Well hope so anyway, i'd except that.

To be honest, there aren't any Premiership players I really want to see play for us, that are likely to be owned by clubs interested in Huddlestone.

I'm a bit disappointed if we're happy to let him go but as yanno says, JR will have the rounded view that we don't.

I reckon his mobility may have counted against him for Ramos' vision for the team but I think he has a lovely pass on him personally.

As to the swap deal. Arteta would be lovely but there's no way Everton would let him go. Beyond that I can't even come up with names...

out of the Blackburn side, i'd say there's a few options that Wendy might have her eye on: Bentley, Pedersen, Santa Cruz, Warnock - i wouldn't write off any of them as possibles, especially Bentley or Pedersen. We've been linked with both of them on different occasions.

I would prefer Arteta to either of them, but i don't think too many teams would turn down a swap deal for one of them four from rovers... christ, perhaps he's eyeing Matt Derbyshire as our 4th place striker, who knows

Huddlestone is probably the most creative passer of a football at the club, and he strikes the ball incredibly cleanly too. However, even now at the fag-end of the season, Ramos has been reluctant to start him at either CM or CB.

I think Arteta is the most likely Everton player that Ramos would want. He could play anywhere in midfield for us, and I think he has real potential in CM (his original Barca position). If Arteta has told Moyes he wants out, then Moyes may decide to ask for players as well as cash - hence the Hud, and even Keano, rumours.

I'd take Howard, Lescott and maybe Yobo as well - but I doubt they're available. Cahill wouldn't fit any system Ramos is likely to play. And Yakubu is no better than our existing strikers.

Gardner and Hudd for Santa cruz and Bently... there a bit stupid in blackburn, so this may happen

dont want Hudd to go though, he is a good player and still improving!

Surely we'd throw in Ghaly to seal the deal.

lets not push the boat out here, throwing in Ghaly may make them think something dodgy is going on!!!!

atchaly i still think Ghaly is a good player, one bad mistake but at least he showed some grit in the midfield, something we strugle to get!!

Pedersen has had a shockingly poor season by his standards and quite a poor season if he is in fact an average player, Warnock is average although Bentley and Santa Cruz are good shouts.
