Perhaps. If so, don't shoot the messenger. Here's the quote for that last bit of info I posted:

However Tottenham have offered Huddlestone to Middlesbrough for the excellent left winger Adam Johnson.

Johnson wants to go as he is now behind Downing, who has signed a new deal after Tottenham tried for him too.

Southgate is quite interested in Huddlestone but it will come down to valuations. As usual Tottenham rate their player - Huddlestone - higher than Johnson.

The point is that Huddlestone is not wanted and now knows it. So if Rovers are interested they have a big chance.

Bradley is rated at £4 million or so by Heerenveen, Huddlestone may be around the same.

I would be surprised if you did not land one of these shortly...both are definitely now available.
Bradley refers to Michael Bradley, the Yank centre mid at Heerenveen.

Hudd for Johnson... never... :bs:

But Bradley, I wouldn't say no as he has been really impressive and is only 20

Hudd is worth more than £4m. We paid more than that for KP Boateng. I think it'd be a huge mistake to get rid of Huddlestone.

I think we are more likely to do deals for cash (both in and out the club) the whole swapping and trading off players is more of an american concept and whilst we have done this is the past (the Defoe deal for example) I feel most if not all our deals will involve straight cash deals.
