Mirror journo Alan Nixon is a regular on one of Blackburn's forums, and I've just been linked to a few potential scoops for the coming summer. Wasn't sure whether or not to post it here or in general, but a couple of them relate to us so I suppose it makes more sense to post it here.

The post in full:

ASTON VILLA - James Milner, possibly Pascal Chimbonda, maybe Daniel van Buyten and a new keeper.

MANCHESTER CITY - any Brazlian going, Jo looks likely, don't write off the Ronaldinho thing.

PORTSMOUTH - three biggies they reckon, possibly including Peter Crouch.

NEWCASTLE - several if Kevin Keegan and Dennis Wise can agree. I'm sure KK knows nothing about Modric. I think they will get Gomis from St.Etienne who is a monster.

TOTTENHAM - many Spaniards.

I think EVERTON will have to rebuild but find it hard and WEST HAM seem in a bit of a cash crisis.

Not entirely sure what he means by 'many Spaniards' or how serious he's being, but I suppose he's going after players he knows and trusts. Sevilla players maybe, or has that bridge been well and truly burned?

Nothing we couldn't already guess, Chimbo to Villa makes sense seeing as he wants out and Villa don't have a genuine right back at the club. Interesting to hear that West Ham are running out of money, perhaps we'll go on another raid. Ashton? Green? Maybe Upson or Noble at a stretch?

I'm not really sure why Everton would have to rebuild??

With a squad that consists of:

GK Howard
GK Turner
GK Ruddy

RB Hibbert
LB Baines
LB / CB Lescott
CB Yobo
CB / CM Jagielka

Versatile Neville

MDF Carsley
MDF Osman
MDF Arteta
MDF Peinaar (keep meaning to look him up - is he a LW?)
MDF Fernanes (on loan though)
MDF Gravesen (again on loan)

SKR Johnson
SKR Yakubu
STR Anichebe
STR Vaughan

Looks like a good core of a squad to me... (I did leave some out as these seem to be the main ones).

Plus who's Jo the Brazilian that Man City are after...

Thanks for the info!

"TOTTENHAM - many Spaniards"--

We should jump at the chance to sell Chimbo to Villa, if the price it would be good for us. Interesting stuff...

CSKA.

On the subject of Spammers' possible money problems, I'm sure I read something recently about Gudmundsson having difficulties.

Mark Noble is WHU through and through. There's probably more chance of him cutting his own throat, than him playing for us.

True enough; but the Spammers think (I stress that because the notion of a rivalry between us and them is laughable) we have a rivalry...so...

There's no way Noble would sign for us - he'd get lynched. He'd have to change his name to Pascal Chimbonda or David Pleat or something.

I think that most of our signings will come from Spain but I don't expect any from Seville. Its the league that Ramos knows best and he will know exactly what they are capable of and their attitude to hard graft throughout the season!

I'd just like to point out that when Jol took over as our manager everyone was expecting a huge influx of dutch players, but that didn't ever materialise. Just because we have a spanish manager doesn't automatically mean we will be influxed with spanish players.

I dunno, I think that's unfair to Rooney. He went to Manchester United after all. The biggest club ever, and currently the best team in team in the world.

I agree they have a solid squad not sure why they would rebuild unless they will be losing some. Did you mean to miss out Tim Cahill though or is he not considered a 'main one'?
