apparently "contact made" with capel-left winger at sevilla.
What, did he ring us up and laugh down the phone for a bit?
The big prob about Capel is he does one thing well, for me thats a good thing, but we must have another creative midfielder to give what capel cant offer, I think its doable to get him, and if we are ahead in the race for Modric (like has been reported) and get him for the reported 12mill-14mill. Thats are midfield sorted, then we need 1 CB for rotation not regular for about 5mill and then we buy a attacker for 10mill or if berba leaves 20mill. putting Capels price into the mix we should spend about £30-£40 million pounds. We in my view should not pay more then £40
I could believe our agents made contact with his agent to sound him out but let's get real. The impossible bit would be to actually deal with Sevilla's president del Nido who puts us on a level marginally below Satan. The phone call would go something like this:
Daniel Levy: Hello, Senor del Nido? This is Daniel Le...

he has a 12 million euro buyout clause. so sevilla can do fuck all about it....
I read somewhere that if Capel plays a further 3 games it triggers his release clause of 12m. So Del Nido can't do anything to stop it
Poulsen also has a 9m buy out clause I believe. So the pair for 21m is not bad business
Modric and Capel sorts our midfield? We might score 6 a game but we would probably concede 8. Central midfield has to be the priority this summer even more than a keeper...surely.
£30 to £40 million for Capel? Is that what you are saying because I didn't really understand that. If we pay anything close to that for one player, especially a left winger I will be shocked.
Madridspurs source is La marca and ES.
Not saying it wont come to pass but he had a shocker last window.
:think:ParkLane, that's rubbish. He has a couple of decent sources and not just the papers.
