Seriously though, it depends on Capel's priorities - playing in the EPL, wages, CL footie, working with Ramos, interest from other clubs, fees etc. - I don't think its as far fetched as some on here think but I have to admit that it would be a hell of a coup to get such a highly regarded player.

The big prob about Capel is he does one thing well, for me thats a good thing, but we must have another creative midfielder to give what capel cant offer, I think its doable to get him, and if we are ahead in the race for Modric (like has been reported) and get him for the reported 12mill-14mill. Thats are midfield sorted, then we need 1 CB for rotation not regular for about 5mill and then we buy a attacker for 10mill or if berba leaves 20mill. putting Capels price into the mix we should spend about £30-£40 million pounds. We in my view should not pay more then £40

Modric and Capel sorts our midfield? We might score 6 a game but we would probably concede 8. Central midfield has to be the priority this summer even more than a keeper...surely.

£30 to £40 million for Capel? Is that what you are saying because I didn't really understand that. If we pay anything close to that for one player, especially a left winger I will be shocked.

Poulsen also has a 9m buy out clause I believe. So the pair for 21m is not bad business

I defer to your better knowledge chaps. That said I'm sure del Nido could make it very difficult for us to deal with them. If we came in with €12M he'd be sure to tart him around to every other club he could find.

I think Diego Capel is definately more of a possibility than David Villa, would be great if we could get him. You never know whether these players will adapt to the EPL, but he is the right age and how long have we been crying out for a proper LW

Apparently Capel does have a release clause of 12 million Euros. However, according to some Spanish gossip I saw, his agent is trying to hawk him to Real Madrid.

The same Spanish gossip suggested that Poulsen does have a release fee of 9 million Euros, but he only has one year left on his contract, and he's tempted to do another Bosman. NB Poulsen joined Sevilla on a Bosman from Schalke, so he is a footballing mercenary. The gossip was suggesting that if Real Madrid or Barca triggered his release fee, he'd consider it, but otherwise he would stay and maximise his potential earnings next year.

This gossip came from a Barca fans' website citing Spanish newspaper sources, so take it with a pinch of salt.
