I think the manager has got to be willing to rotate first and foremost. I have said it already in a few different threads.
Wimmer must have been disappointed to have been dropped at the first opportunity after some impressive displays.
If the "squad players" only ever play when it is absolutely necessary and if there is no chance of winning a place in the starting 11, then it doesn't matter how good your substitutes are, you won't get the best out of them.
Poch needs to improve his squad management for sure.

Then thats a blessing in disguise. Poch wants team players not individuals. I thought that fact would be pretty clear to anyone following Spurs this season?

yes and I agree, but when we talk of players like Wanyama who starts week in week out for Southampton will he want to join Spurs to sit on the bench? we need better back up options, as cover that will also push the 2 in that position even further, but we won't buy quality or someone that has regular football to sit on the bench.

Dembele could be the 1 to suffer, because if we find someone of quality, and they show that in the 1st 4 games, then he has to fight his way back again. I wouldn't be shocked if we are looking at cover, which I expect we are as if Dembele plays a CL match, I doubt he will play the weekend, or Poch will just stick with 1 of Bentaleb/Mason or Carroll for the 1st 4 games, if we play ok with the 1 he chooses then they will rotate with Dembele, if they don't, that will end up being an August end of window signing.
