Not sure why people go on about price so much.

One poster has said we shouldn't spend £40m who could bring disharmony to the team. Why would we spend any money on a player bringing disharmony to the team?

Others have said he could be a top player but not for £40m. If he could be a top player £40m is not that much.

We have money to spend but we need the right quality. I personally am not convinced Grealish is it. That is only based on the little I have seen of him and the opinions of my Championship team supporting friends.

I know a few people close to Villa who say two things about him - 1. He has grown up a lot and really switched on the last two years. 2. All the data points to him being the most influential player outside the Premier League alongside Cairney. There is a real belief by a lot of people in Football that he is a genuine UCL level player. I think this is definitely a Spurs type signing. Under Poch he could flourish.

Thinking about it Grealish is made for Spurs young talented with lots of potential. I'm pretty sure he could play in a number of positions behind the main Striker Kane

Tbh i was far more impressed with him than sess in the final, and we're talking similar sums for him. He has so much more about him. Imo sess lacks too much finess to ever be top class. He is very young but touch is usually just an innate ability. Could be wrong as I've only seen him in the playoffs.

A quick wiki search suggests he was born in Birmingham and has lived in England his whole life.

No mention of his parents though.

Surely someone living in this country from birth can feel English, no?

Some of his grandparents are/were Irish I believe.

Well Sessegnon is 18, Grealish is 22.
