Think lack of desire is a little harsh. He's never played a full season in his entire career and suffered 6 hamstring injuries in one of them. Still he keeps trying.

No thanks though and really I think he's going to have to call it a day as a professional footballer at some point,p. his hamstrings are just fucked

Maybe, but he always seemed to play as if he was holding back, not really giving all he had. Maybe it was because he always felt injury prone and that is what held him back, but for a player I once thought had the capacity to be really good he just appeared to be cruising along at maybe 70 pc

are there any english players you wouldn't be against spurs signing?
To be fair, apart from AOC (I know Gooner scum blah blah) and Shaw/Baines, I can't say there are any English players I'd desperately want in our squad. That even includes the likes of Lallana, Sturridge, Rooney etc.

What sort of comparison is that? It was there for all to see how utterly average the England squad is. I'm not saying we're world-beaters on the basis of that shocking season we just had to endure, but I'd say I'd be happy with us going in to next season under the guidance of Poch with very few changes to the squad that failed to impress so frequently. As I said, Shaw at LB to replace Rose, Ox as a RM/AM for the interchangability(I'm claiming that), and I think we'd be set. We need another CB too, obviously, but to be honest I'd take Vertonghen and Chiriches/a crocked Kaboul over Jag/Cahill any day.

Why would I?

because they're better than what we have. much of the england squad is as much as people don't like to see it. i actually see england being amidst a boom period of talented players, the future is good but woy is a big problem.

There are quite a few I'd happily see in a spurs shirt at the right price. Just don't particularly want ones that are distinctly mediocre. I'd be happy for us to give the English Tom Carroll a chance rather than waste money on Rodwell. I'd be even happier if we'd give the very English Pritchard some game time.

Not that we have a hope in hells chance but Barkley and Stones are two players I'd love for us to sign.

Unsurprised by the reaction, but I would say 10m is massively worth a gamble for such quality. He is a centre back who has been deliberately played in CM as he is cultured enough and can learn his trade and impose himself on top flight footy there.

I genuinely believe Jack Rodwell will be one of the first names on the England World Cup teamsheet in 2018. He's precisely what the country needs and we could well be the team to allow him to showcase his talents. His discipline is remarkable for one so talented. Jack Wilshere with a brain and no ego, and actual football skills, if you like.

We have enough midfielders and he seems very injury prone. I think any money in the transfer kitty needs to be spent on strengthening other areas of the team.

I'd definitely gamble on Rodwell and Richards for £16m if we could shift Lennon and Dawson for a similar price.

ox
barkley

plenty of others too probably.

OK, I forgot Barkley, he looks like real quality and Sturridge who's alrready proved himself at Premiership level, but I'm not sure about any of the others. Just my view.
