Makes no sense, unless we think he has the potential to be moulded into a centre back?

He's basically a Huddlestone mark 2 but has barely kicked a ball in the last 2 seasons. He's a sloth too, last thing we need at centre back.

Maybe as a CB?? He has been so many time out of the picture that I can't remember how he plays

Not sure if he's ever put 10 games together, let alone 10 games of consistent good form. At some point they'll stop talking about his potential.....

He may be English but he's way too injury prone.

Got to agree, years back he looked a player with good potential but injuries and a seeming lack of desire or belief he looks just another player that will now never achieve anything

Hope he doesn't turn into another Michael Johnson...
Seem as is few, if any, of the English players do well at ManC (fex Adam Johnson, Michael Johnson, Richards, Rodwell...)

Decent player but not a position we need to strengthen and agent again using our name to drum up interest

Also he is another of these players that treat signing a long term contract at a big club for loads of money as a trophy, even though he knows he will hardly ever feature, not the sort of mentality we need

Think lack of desire is a little harsh. He's never played a full season in his entire career and suffered 6 hamstring injuries in one of them. Still he keeps trying.

No thanks though and really I think he's going to have to call it a day as a professional footballer at some point,p. his hamstrings are just fucked

Not sure if that was meant for the idea of us signing Rodwell, or it's an 'interesting' welcome to the board for me as a new member. I think I choose to believe the latter.

The woman just told the guy on the phone that we've been linked with Rodwell.
