This would be such a coup. Him and Reiss Nelson will be like Romeo and Juliet, we'll see them making longing eye-contact across the new WHL next season whilst Aurier looks on disapprovingly

May not mean anything and I don't like to out him, but a certain costume wearing Pug from the far east liked my post.

Make of that what you will.
Not sure about you guys but there just went my pants....

Awesome piece of business, could turn out to be one of the signings of the summer.

I do wonder about the ramifications of poaching a youth player from City, however, especially after seeing the way PSG bullied Barca for unsettling Veratti.

Now he seems set to sign with us, I've watched a few YouTube compilations and he does look very promising.

However, in all the clips I watched it looks like he plays exclusively from the left, cutting inside onto his favoured right foot. Given Hercules' earlier info that if Sancho signs then he will be in contention for some proper first team game time, it seems we're bringing him in in a position we're already stacked in. Of our attacking midfielders, Dele and Son both usually play down the left (albeit all of our AMs drift into different areas at times), but we have such scant cover on the right (Eriksen now playing there sorta out of position, and who knows when/if Lamela will ever play for us again) that we've gone to the extreme measure of giving Sissoko minutes on that right hand side.

All for Sancho signing, but we now seem very overloaded in the left AM slot, and yet still sorely understocked for the right hand side. Strange one.

Some guy called Bale was left sided but did very well cutting in from the right .......................

Maybe Balde can cover the right side. Plays anywhere across the front.

Returns to the Balde thread.

Aurier's heart will melt with the sheer, potent romance of it all

If we do get him, I hope Pochettino tells him, he can use his left foot too on the ball...Just only seeing videos of him, he doesnt seems to use his left foot at all...Top division defenders will exploit that.
Good thing is he is very young & we can Poch to rectify & correct his game to suit PL.

What a signing, amazing position to be in when we can attract young talent, not with money, but with a promise of chances in the first team.

Imagine sess,Edwards and sancho in a three behind a striker in 10 years time:LOL:

All hail poch

This is when I get depressed, I've been optimistic about this for a week or so but now we get ITK like this my nerve goes and I start worrying that if it goes pete tong now it will be so much more depressing.
Fingers crossed though.

If this move DOES now happen (after previously looking like he was going elsewhere), I wonder if the kid's apparent change of heart might have something to do with the resurrecting of our move for Sessegnon.

I'm not sure we have such an imbalance. It may seem that way with Lamela out and Sissoko not impressing much. I'm surprised Nkoudou doesn't play on the right more though. Plus don't be surprised to see KWP push up field where we often played Onomah when he came on.
