lol people live in the real world.

Not sure what you mean.

I live in the real world, and have done every drug under the sun in my youth (which I look upon regretfully), so I understand that people make mistakes.

My issue is that he's making a fucking fortune week after week (for being a pretty shit footballer, I might add), with obvious checks in place that he needs to adhere to. If his "real world" is needing to take drugs at the potential expense of a career he is incredibly lucky to have (again, because he's a pretty shit footballer), I have absolutely no sympathy for the moron, and I hope his career is over.

Why? Who cares if others have got away with it?

He's paid a massive amount of money to do a relatively easy job (especially in his case, where he's remarkably untalented). The expectation is that he keeps himself fit, so regular training, a healthy diet, no smoking, and little to no alcohol is the standard. Not a bad pay off when weighted against thousands of pounds a month.

Instead, he's outdone himself by getting caught taking drugs. Fuck the fatty foods, fags, and booze...let's indulge in the hard stuff!

Fuck the ungrateful moron. I hope his career is finished.
There, there mate. It'll all be okay. Smoke some weed and you'll calm down.

I smoked a lot of weed. I grew out of it a long time ago.

I guess that's something for you to cling on to. Drugs aren't bad, but their value diminishes pretty quickly as you get older. As I understand it, you're probably in your 20s, so experiment and enjoy it...that's what I did throughout my 20s, The difference is that neither you nor I were professional sportsmen being paid a fortune whilst expected to avoid certain things.

And trust me, you'll get bored of it eventually. Being high works well when it's a break from the norm, but doesn't work so well when it becomes the norm.

Does it say when/where he was tested? It leaves the body after about 24 hours I think so that sounds pretty bad. It's one thing doing it on holiday some where and another doing it mid week or before a game etc.

Will Hull sue him for breach of contract, if guilty.

Down to their discretion.

Mutu had(has) to pay Chelsea €17m still. Not sure how much, if any, he has paid, as it was still rumbling on in January and he's retired now:#

Note the controversy involved!

12. On 4 November 2004, the FA’s Disciplinary Commission imposed upon the Player a fine of GBP 20,000 as well as a seven-month ban, effective from 25 October 2004. By decision dated 12 November 2004, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee extended the suspension to apply worldwide.

13. On 29 January 2005, the Player was registered with Livorno. Two days later, on 31 January 2005, he was transferred to Juventus. It is undisputed that Juventus was the only club actually interested in the Player but was hindered to sign him directly as it had reached its quota of non-EU players, who could be transferred from outside Italy under FIGC regulations. In order to circumvent that restriction, Livorno agreed to register the Player first and, subsequently, to transfer him to Juventus. The Player started to play for Juventus after the end of the suspension period, i.e. after 18 May 2005.

14. In July 2006, Juventus transferred the Player to AC Fiorentina for a sum of EUR 8,000,000, the payment of which is not disputed

Adrian Mutu also suffered the ignominy of having his name changed to Andrei Murgu on subsequent FIFA games. Look out for free transfer Jack Liverless on FIFA 16.

Only if he gets booted out of FIFPro like Mutu was - I imagine he will, though.

James Littlemore no doubt!

Gordon Taylor of the PFA calls for better education for players

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32771526

The regulation and punishment :-

The Football Association's anti-doping regulations prohibit players from taking social drugs at any time.

Footballers found guilty of taking the drugs "recreationally" can be banned for up to six months, but players who read positive for social drugs during a post-match test could receive a suspension of up to two years.

The bold bit applies to Livermore who was tested after the game with Palace.

What education is required ? Are the rules not simple and clear enough ?
