I sent a text to my dad when Livermore came on saying that he'd work his magic again, and he did. I don't know what he does, or how he does it, but in the last 3 games he has came on with ~5 mins to go with us needing a goal and we're grabbed one each time. No wonder he took the captain's armband the other night. He can captain us more often.

COYS!

Excellent Cameo along with Tom Carroll who never once panicked. Took time, looked up, saw the pass too.

Agree. Livermore, in what little time he had, shielded the ball well and laid it off nicely. Carroll looked composed every time he had the ball. Looking for the ball, and more importantly looking for a forward pass.

Very brave of AVB bringing on Carroll and Livermore when we needed to score and fairplay, they came off very well.

Good appearances by the two lads

Freshening up centre mid seemed to help us get some better possession towards the end. For most of the middle part of the match we were way off the pace. Siggy coming on helped too.

Dembele is injured imo and AVB should trust him and livermore, I'm happy Huddlestone didnt come on as he would of slowed down the play

I'm glad he didn't come on too considering he wasn't on the bench and is out injured haha

I'm sure there's something that AVB has seen which is way above our heads and it is pure tactical genius.

Carroll is a proper little player. Love seeing him on the ball, he always sees a pass and constantly makes himself available.

Yes, Spam were having to sit back under pressure so he got time and space, but I've seen him do it when pressured by opposition midfielders too. He'll go on to play CM for us for years I'm convinced.

Jake did well, protected the ball very well when he needed to and managed to find his man with every pass.

Certainly these two have the potential to be useful members of the squad between now and the end of the season. I'd like to see Hudd moved on and then I think we are probably sorted for CM - Sandro, Dembele, Parker, Livermore and Carroll. I'd be happy with that - Jake can do a decent solid job and Carroll has sky-high potential as a playmaker.

It's actually the first time I've seen him on the pitch this year..... is it just me or has Livermore gone through a bit of a growth spurt in the last couple of months? He seemed much bigger than I remember, almost CB size? I see on Wiki he's 6'2 and i know he had a few games there in the U21's recently..... possibility?

Anyway. I thought it very bold/brave of AVB to bring on Carroll and Livermore considering the scoreline but fair dues owed to them (and AVB) they played with great composure. Very positive signs for the run in.

I reckon Parker to take the sting out of the derby and Livermore to come on for the last 35 minutes

p.s Sigi will score this weekend, he's about to hit a 'Bale' patch of form, I can feel it in my bones.

Livermore could really throw Cazorla/Wilshere off their games. They are two players who don't like to be knocked around and get visibly upset when a player gets a bit tough in the tackle on them.

Livermore's what I would call controlled chaos. He flies around, makes good challenges, but he doesn't really go too far to the point where you have to worry about him getting sent off. He's also got the pace to keep up with Cazorla/Wilshere and I think that should really be of high value.
