Such a poor decision got us our highest ever points total (in the EPL) in his first season and our first win at Old Trafford in 22 years. No-one could have predicted how this season went.
5th place.

Amazing this still has to be pointed out.

He is a riduclant. I care not for his ill informed 'expert' opinion. Why on earth would Levy enjoy sacking managers? Why on earth should Sherwood be given such a big job in football based on little experience and achievement? All this 'my old mate' business gets in the way of English managers succeeding, as you are given the job not based on your merits but by who you know. And who you know are are usually cretinous hangers on. Pipe down Jamie, your dad's outdated approach is showing its worth.

Congratulations! This was a word I'd never heard of before. Your post inspired me to look it up.

My google search of the entire www found just a solitary mention of it........yours, in this thread!

You are unique!

If you search hard enough, you might find it in @yankspurs dictionary. ;)

VDV, Modric, Bale, King and Defoe delivered succes to Tottenham. Harry had very good squads that were much better than what we had since he left.

At QPR, he's managed to get them relegated from the PL, bankrupt Fernandes, an absurdly high wage bill, and have them locked in a playoff battle likely to feature Derby and the 2 other relegated sides for re entry where the only thing guaranteed is drama.

Bit harsh with regards his part in QPR's situation. They were already deep in trouble when he took over and he's not exacerbated the wage problem.

I do agree though that he was working with a better squad than AVB (and Sherwood) have had to work with and I also think he might've struggled last year losing Modric, VdV and King. For all his faults though he can spot a player - Vertonghen was a done deal to replace Ledley and I would've been interested in his choice to replace Modric & Vdv - not sure the likes of Sigurdsson and Dempsey would be too high on his list.

I doubt he had anything to do with the Vertonghen signing.

I haven't gone through this entire thread so I may be repeating what has already been said, but none of the managers sacked by Levy has gone onto any great acheivement which would suggest Levy was right to get rid of them.
They have got us to a position where our finances allow but no more whereas we need a manager who can overacheive (excluding Redknapp), who can get results against the top 4 whilst still beating the teams below us (which we have been very good at this year).
I exclude Redknapp but his problem would be building a team in the first place, I doubt he would have fancied Berbs, Modric, or Bale and would have eventually built his team on limited Premiership 'give it 100%' players.

Levy can be blamed for not bringing the right manager in but I don't think he can be blamed for getting rid of them.

I would guess this is why he will finally go for a 'proven' big name, although this is only now possible because we have a bigger reputation throughout Europe than we had a decade or so ago which is attributable to Levy in the first place.
