Unfortunately he'd cost £50-60m.
Even at that I'm not sure they would sell this summer. They don't need the money and Red Bull has been building for years to get the kind of exposure they'll get with Leipzig in the CL next season. I'd be surprised if they sold the best player in the entire four-club operation just as their moment had arrived.

Agreed, Mateschitz is not exactly in football to make a few bob in transfers, like F1, the aim will be to compete at the top.

On the other hand though, £50m+ is no joke either, espeically to a non-PL club that isn't one of Europe's elite (yet).

AS Roma have second proposal turned down for Jean-Michaël Seri worth €25m
Italian side AS Roma have had a second proposal for OGC Nice central midfielder Jean Michaël-Seri turned down, this one worth €25m, according to our colleagues at RMC.

Nice remain firm, their position has not changed. You want to buy Jean-Michaël Seri? Then pay his €40m release clause. In today’s market, Jean-Pierre Rivère believes that that is a decent price.

In any case, AS Roma Sporting Director Monchi has a meeting next week scheduled with Jean Michaël Seri’s entourage. The competition for the player is getting extremely heated. Seri has notably received an offer from Beijing Guoan worth €10m a year net!

Seri also features second on Barcelona’s central midfield shortlist behind Marco Verratti.

Premier League side Tottenham also feature in the race for Seri, with Spurs having already opened discussions with Seri’s entourage and making an enquiry to OGC Nice for the player.

PSG have also placed Seri second on their shopping list behind AS Monaco’s Fabinho in the hunt for a new central midfielder.

The race for Seri continues.

Not a priority position for me, especially after Onomah's recent performances. But this guy is simply too good not to get excited about.

Are people honestly Suggesting onomah over this guy?

Its more, this guy is going to be expensive, and would you rather buy this guy, and not be able to pay as much for a player we need like Lemar, or use the money on a someone like Lemar and take the risk on Onomah and Winks developing under Poch

I saw him on TV, playing Dutch national team few days back. Ivory Coast lost 5-0. Seri had no positive influence on the game. May be its just a one off . But IMO, at 25 years, paying 25m for a CM fis over the odds & risky

More than that isn't it? Hasn't the Nice president said they want his 40 million euros buyout to be met?

Disagree entirely. That's not over the odds at all - but we'd have no chance of getting him for such a fee.
