sorry, i was taking the piss..

he played well although i'd rather he played as an attacking right back . ohara for me is a stronger player to have in the middle of the park..

Are you still taking the piss?

JJ is an attacking midfielder with a great engine on him, can you honestly see someone like him at right back? Going forward maybe but a RB should be filled by someone who is a good defender to. O'hara is a good player but but JJ is more experienced and has more assets. I would take JJ over o'hara in the middle of the park anyday. JJ = MOTM.

I fucing wish he could play like that every game, Tainio was mega aswell
Yes and don't we all but that is...sadly enough....his biggest problem. We get to see this performance 7-8 times every season and it's brilliant but to be top class he needs to show it in at least 25-30 games...

Tainio was awsome and if he had a body that could take a beating he would be in our starting lineup.....but after 4-5 games he gets injured :-|

Immense. Man of the match by a mile. TT second. We were so clinical last night, that was the difference from other weeks.

I think his new power lies in his hair. He.s gonna look like berba soon.

Where are all the jenas bashers? Hope you were watching.

He was amazing tonight.

Im not sure wot ramos has done with our old jenas, but i love this new man.

Are you watchin Cappello?? Stevie who...

Jenas has been much improved under Ramos. Under Jol he sat way too deep at times.

keep growing your hair JJ... you seem to play better with it longer!

So two games against Woolwich, two motm awards, 2 goals, 2 assists. JJ bashers are a bit quiet this morning. I am so glad we are finally seeing a more consistent JJ and also a better player under Juande. maybe it is just down to that hair though!

C'mon, it's not about bashing, hating or whatever....

When playing like he did yesterday he's obviously very very good  But those games are to far apart for Jenas....sadly enuff.

I got my favourites and i see when they fuck up and should not be rated....that's seems not to be tha case when it comes to certain people...

Yeah and believe me i SEE when JJ doesnt have a good game but i rate him as our best cm, and im 100% certain Fabio Capello will have him in his first England squad as his form recently has been superb. So then that will be SGE that rated him, Martin Jol, Juande Ramos and Fabio Capello, with only Steve McClown not rating him, what does that tell you??? The other day when you said he was 'utterly shite' couldnt have been wider of the mark

Jenas was nothing sort of amazing. His best performance in a spurs shirt? Possibly. His hair looking a little like Superman's barnet the catalyst? Definately.

5-1. I think i'm gonna have a wank over the highlights in a minute!

Do we really want JJ to get back into the England squad???? It seems to me that every Spurs player that is in the squad either picks up an injury on international duty or gets slated for their performances and their Spurs form suffers.

It might be selfish, but for me club is first and country is a very distant second.

I'm as happy as anyone about Jenas performance yesterday and i'm satiesfied to be wrong this time

But no one can argue with the fact that he shows these performances to rarely.......BUT if he can continue like yesterday then i see no reason to have him on the bench.

If Jenas could have a player like tainio alongside him he will really develop. Unfortunatly due to TT's injuries that cannot happen on a consistent basis. Just shows how useless Zokora is and how huddlestone cant cover the spaces left for when JJ makes those runs. Boateng is a pile of shit. Early days but so far but he looks and plays like a boxer. He gives away stupid fouls. O'hara looks promising

My top 3 centre mids (in order)
Jenas
Tainio
O'Hara

But that doesn't have Champions league potential or even uefa cup potential. Ramos needs to strengthen that area and find a partner for Jenas to get the best out of him

I have had many moans about JJ in the past and they were well deserved. His problem is that he's just too inconsistent....when he comes out of the tunnel, you never know what you're going to get. I would be a complete JJ fan if he played more like last night and less like he has been!

That was the type of performance that I have been waiting to see - a game where he actually controls midfield. For too long he had good half hours, or shone against lower league opposition. Last night he was magnificent. I think the work Ramos and Poyet have been doing with him has really started to pay off.

Lets hope this is beginning of JJ really fulfilling his potential, and maybe even being an England regular
