Fair enough. To me it read he is too expensive. Didn't AVB also say 'no' when asked if we were still in for him?

I can only go on what AVB says. Of course, he may be playing games.

I fondly remember Mourihno scrapping deals and the same player signing for his squad the next day, since then I'll never trust what a manager says to a news reporter. I'm dead certain its a lil game they play with us supporters so when we sign Moutinho we all gonna say: "AvB you lil fucker you" and he's all:" trolled rofl rofl lmao lmao" and In the en we'll be happy, its all apart of the emotional rollercoaster that is a transfer window as a spurs supporter and maybe just maybe porto will be willing to play ball on the fee as that's the only hold up.

If Porto are asking for 30 million euros, that is £23 million give or take, is that really too much considering we got at least £10 million more than that for Modric?

Tbh I can't see us getting Moutinho for anything less than £20 million, which is a difference of 3 million and even a price like that is extremely unlikely. So we are basically haggling over a couple of million pounds, I just hope that doesn't mean the deal doesn't go through.

Agree with your points on Moutinho's value and IF we do pull off all that business, I too will be delighted..... however;

Modric was 22 yrs old when we signed him, i think that played a big part in why Levy was willing to pay quite a high price then for someone who was fairly unproven.
Moutinho is nearly 26 yrs old, a lengthy stay with us would see us getting very little back for him, investment wise I am struggling to see Levy agreeing to this.

As long as all the spurs fans have not gone mental in the time being and cut their wrists.

I hate transfer windows, they are just sooooooooo foooking annoying, especially when all the ITK provide us with so much to look forward to then it falls through.

Moutinho informed porto's chairman that he wants to leave and that porto should accept Levy's offer of 20M€. He was replaced during the last game and thanked the fans in a way that looked like a goodbye.
