it's true that Porto need to "balance the books". most of the money that comes in goes out very fast cause the economic rights of the players are not 100% of Porto(+ some obscure agreements with investors), their "structure" is very heavy and there are people who need to get richer
Last season they spent something like 40M€ in two bench players (alex sandro and danilo or something - young talent) and some more money in other players. They pay high wages, way above what a portuguese club can afford (every top portuguese club spends too much, specially benfica and porto).
Some months ago, a hockey player celebrated a goal with protests against the lack of payment, and strong rumours indicated that there existed employees missing some months of payment. (and something about closing the basketball section...)
Anyway, the russians are saying today that Moutinho is a strong possibility for Zenit, but they have to beat the competetion of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
I reckon if we were serious about buying him, he'd rather AVB and the premier league than Russia, but money does indeed talk so who knows. Not sure why Zenit would suddenly turn their attentions from Hulk to Moutinho though, as they are completely different players.
