Before anyone reads his page and wants to comment on the content, can you please consider the lad is young and that also the younger generation of players are far more likely to explore the internet and spurs sites than say more senior players.

I wish i was surprised by the comments by some people on that facebook site, but it just reflects the mentality of the typical British football fan.:duh:

I swear that sometimes people forget footballers are people, and he's still a kid. My brother's his age, and if someone gave him that much stick I'd kick the shit out of them. Just because he's played professional football it's acceptable for people to abuse him and make slights on his character, it shouldn't be this way.

He'll ram some of those comments back down their throats by hopefully having a great career for club and country.

Hmm let's see now. We have a player nutured by his club, expected to play a big part in the first team that runs down his contract and signs with another club leaving his first club with a fraction of his value as compensation.

I can't imagine any of OUR fans reacting badly to a situation like that.

I would imagine some sections would react similarly, it's only the tiny minority which let's everyone else down, same for every club and national side, but he still shouldn't be abused for signing for someone else.

While i don't condone the abuse, i agree with this point. The amount of stick every fanbase aims at players is exactly the same as this

i know, especially when 1 is the club captain, the best player with 30odd caps under his belt and the other is a 16 year old kid who has never played 90 minutes 1st team football

The sad reality is, if the same thing happened with a Spurs player moving to a bigger club, a percentage of our young supporters would react in exactly the same way. It's sad, but it's life.
