can someone please explain to me why so many fuck wits round here dont realise that if Jol goes our season is just going to get worse. No on is going to come in a do a better job at this stage mainly as there is no one else. So surely we would be better to stick with him until at least the end of the season? no?

depends on Jol. No point in keeping him on if he doesnt want to be there and only puts in half the effort.

Perhaps you could explain to me why so many "fuckwits" round here keep stating their opinion as fact?

You have no idea as to whether the season will get better or worse. Your opinion is it will get worse, mine is that i think it could get better if the right person is installed.

Right I'm going drinking. If anything happens Jol wise this evening can someone let me know? Sounds like all the 'buzz' today has come from an unidentified 'city source' which I'm inclined to believe. But who knows? It's coming sooner or later.

Hasn't Jol been linked with managing the Duch national team?

If Van Basten is in line for the Chavs then Jol could be a Dutch national candidate. Unlike cocksuckers like Shelfspur and Allen there are officals in Holland who still rate Jol highly, quite justfiably in mine and many other opinions. The Ducth FA who saw him at close hand manage and manage well in Holland and as a result won managerial awards.

And there's the rub.

I understand Gerard Houllier is free.

ugh.

this is really starting to annoy me.

Go ahead Levy, sack him, you'll see your mistake soon enough.

I love martin jol.

yes if levy, kemsley and the rest of the cowboys had been discreet, the spurs managers job is a joke now and it has made it more difficult for jol, think a lesser coach than jol would find it easier to do a better job simply because there wouldnt be all the snipers (for a few weeks anyway)

Unfortunately, Chubbedy Chubb, people make the mistake of putting an equal weighting (of probability) of polarised opinions either being right or wrong.

That's not really the case here. All signs point to yet another period of transiation with a new manager coming in. The basis for such a statement? ... The club's last 20 years of management.

But technically it could be that we'll be amazing if we make a change. But I'd contend that would be the smaller slice of the pie.

I think there's perhaps more credence to the idea that we won't improve given that any new manager will want new players, a new system, maybe a new formation, have new methods, and some. All of which it will take players time to adapt to.

Obviously there is the potential for a new man with new methods to do better, but it would be unlikely to happen without at least 1 pre-season I would imagine. That at least is the precedent that has been set by previous replacements.

Then of course you have the 'Les Reed' factor in that any appointment may in fact be a total disaster. Jol has turned us round form wise before, there's perhaps a better chance of him doing it again than someone new.

Provided his heart's still in it.

I think Jol has made some seriously bad decisions already this season. He’s due to go. I usually won’t agree with mid-season sackings/manager departures, but whether Chris Hughton is in charge of the first team running for the short term or Jol is, it would make no difference. The only thing I’ll miss is Jol’s honesty and likeability factor. I’ll be sad because we’ve done well under him. But his time has come.

I've got a mate that I went to Uni with that is from Amsterdam and a huge Ajax fan. I know he can't speak for every Dutch man but he doesn't think Jol is this highly regarded managerial king in the Netherlands that some Spurs fans would have you believe.

Jol has managed Roda JC something or other and some other shit team.
