Fozzi (for somereason the quote button isnt working)

I have no idea who we should appoint and frankly im not paid enough to make that kind of decision.

All i know is that the way things are now it is not working, the managers position is completely undermined. Working under those conditions i honestly cannot see how we could acheive Europe this season if Jol stays.

Your right we may not get back into europe if Jol leaves but i cant see us getting it with him in so am willing to take that chance.

Your reasoning of you being sure we'll go on a run at some point is about as convincing as me hoping we will improve given a change in management. So i guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I think what fozzi (and the rest of us) are basing this on is the carbon copy of last season. Not to mention the 04/05 season after we lost 6 on the bounce. Jol has proven time after time that he can turn things around with this squad. So let's give him the benefit of the doubt and at least the courtesy of an opportunity considering all that he's done for Spurs and our recent history.

he has done a lot stoof but what your saying is that he hasnt managed to move us on, i expect us to get better every year. why wernt last years mistakes and poor start looked at and a solution to those problems found, a good start was important to us, last year we heard about new players needing time to settle particulary when coming from abroad yet other managers seem to manage this a lot better, sven seems to have got round it.

that said if it wasnt for the board publicly losing confidence with jol i would think it would be right to keep him until someone better was found but now he has to go.

Theres no way back for Jol now. The movement among the media to push him out has filtered down onto the fans now and we're all expecting him to go. I don't think alot of us will be happy if he's here to stay now, we're all appreciating the 2 top 5 finishes, but we're fed up with our defence, which has gone on too long.

Strange reading the Hoddle sacking item, is how much of it could be said about the position today. Even the dates are eerily similar.

But it's all crap anyway. Martin won't walk.

There's some spooky similarities - but I'm hoping the saving grace is that Jol had an excellent end to last season and the fact he's brought two back-to-back 5th place finishes rather than a couple of mid-table ones and a Carling Cup final. :-( :-|
