When I think about Spurs these days I just feel deeply sad. No joy watching my team, no hope of glory or even things getting better. It shouldn't be this way. Whatever is rotten in the club, and I have no inside knowledge, be it Mourinho, players, board members or all of them, just leave. Please. Let the new world begin and the sun come up. Tired of feeling sick inside thinking about us. Yes it's only football. But Tottenham are a big part of my life and it does bring me down. However much I try to not let it.

Great post! somes up how I feel about the club at the moment. The last 12 months have been mega tough with the pandemic and various lockdowns and to be honest watching Tottenham play over this period has brought very little joy.

Said in the match thread yesterday and it’s the truth the outside world used to stop for me for 90 minutes when we were on been like that since I can remember even growing up in the 90s when didn’t have sky when spurs were playing made sure I had radio with me so could listen to the game or at least keep in touch with what was going on if Radio 5 or Capital Gold weren’t doing the commentary's. Now a days i seem to have less and less interest the game is on but generally on in the back ground and like last night I get no joy when we score or despair when Everton score. The whole experience of watching us play is completely joyless now. Feel so far detached from the club. Like you said I just want to be able to enjoy watching us play again.

Because we have been shite. And whether you count only ordinary, scheduled match rounds or also count postponed matches, we are still shite. If we have picked up more points than reported, it’s because we’ve also played more games and it’s still shite. But the premise is clear, they can count only ordinary match rounds if they want to, and based on that you’ve guessed it, we’ve been shite. I’ll remove the spam rating and give you an optimistic instead.
What the fuck you going on about? The guy posted about how we have only picked up 11 points since gameweek 20. That’s false, we’ve picked up 17. That’s all I said.

Its strange because in the past when we have been worse than this, I still felt something, I felt even a bit of sadness or anger or emotion. Watching us this season and i would say the latter part of last season - I am devoid of any emotion. This isnt because we are shit and it could be because im older and football isnt the be all and end all but in reality this season the entire life of the club has been sucked out.

Is it all of Joses fault? nope but he did suck the life out of Man united and their fans said as much when he left. He has played a role in sucking the life out of the club and I suspect that is why we have a bunch of players who arent showing their potential or playing to their level (and I know we have shit players but theyre better than what theyre showing on the pitch)

Need a restart

I think it’s fair to want the players, as someone on here rightfully pointed out, that should have been out the door years ago to finally actually get sold before we fire yet another manager. Or else what’s the point of even bringing in a new manager. Nah fuck it, Mourinho first because everything is solely his fault, including things that happened before he arrived.
Hahaha, that's a paradox if I've ever heard one.

These players have little to no market interest or value under Mourinho because he makes them look like shit no club wants to buy.

Unless you meant moving Harry and Sonny on before we fire Mourinho. That should be easily manageable.

Get rid of both. Those players have shown again they can’t be relied on. Jose hasn’t shown he can set up any type of system to get the best out of the players he has.

For further context, we were 11 points off of 4th (which actually means something) after 12 games. We are now 5 points of 4th after 32.

You purposely mentioned 5th as there was an 8 point gap between 4th and 5th at that moment in time. That’s twisting things to suit your agenda, not being fair and rational.
Yea but we’ve also played 32 games not 12.
Regardless we are going absolutely no where under Jose, simple as that. Man.U felt exactly the same under him, Scholes on a podcast recently said “the football under Jose was so poor, we looked like we had no plan, we couldn’t create a chance and we didn’t look like we were going anywhere, it wasn’t Man.Utd and it was so hard to watch at times” ... says it all.

So it’s Mourinho that makes Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Dier, Aurier etc look shit? Not themselves? They weren’t shit under Poch? Nah just Jose, he’s ex Chelsea innit

Fuck this place man, can’t be fucked with it anymore

Also, that’s not a paradox

I understand what you were saying, but it’s an incomplete correction to make. Because when you say 17 points, you are including the win vs. Villa. That match was a postponed match from a round before match day 20. So somebody who counts only ordinary scheduled match days will leave out results from postponed matches. Alternatively you can point out that number of points is higher, if you want to post that correction, but then also bear in mind that number of played matches increases too.

Hes making Son, Hojbjerg, Reguilon look shit now. Face it, it's a steady decline under this manager.

if you want to go to such extreme lengths to discredit Jose, at least be accurate. If technically that game should have been before gameweek 20 take the 3 points away. It’s still 14, not 11 so the pathetic point he makes is still wrong.

We do need some new defenders but it’s pretty obvious that Jose isn’t getting the best out of this team.
Poch had the players you mention all regularly playing in our champions league campaigns, some of them can be improved on but certainly none of them have improved under Jose, most of their confidence looks absolutely shot.

Pretty sure we could have sold Dier to United for a hefty sum not that long ago.
Sissoko had a season not long ago where he might just have been our most consistent player.
Davies has been a regular fixture in a title challenging side.
Winks has played CL football and even impressed on that stage.
Aurier is the one I'll give you.

All I've gathered from your post is that these 4 title challenging and 1 newer recruit players are shit and that it's definitely not Mourinho's fault.

So, 60 years ago next month, we won the Double. Four months later, I appeared in this world, and five years after that, I was taken to my first game. We lost. :banghead:

But in all the following years, through some pretty poor managers, and even worse players at times, I've never lost the passion like I currently have.
I was one who thought JM might bring some long awaited success, but with an element of concern over his "style" thrown in. And so it has proven to be.
I was completely and utterly numb when both our goals went in last night. I didn't stir at the first, and I actually uttered "that was lucky" as the second hit the net.
I think JM is indeed now a busted flush, and the sooner he goes the better. And yes, the players (some of them) are a reflection of his "style" and need clearing out.

It will take something special to get me back to pre JM interest/passion levels. Sadly, I'm not sure such a person exists.

You’re willing to defend Davies, Winks, Sissoko and Dier just to twist the knife, they’re all fucking pony mate

I expect that a lot of you played football at some level or still do. I played at semi pro level for many years. Something I did learn, when a team isn't playing well and they are not getting the results, is that confidence is low. I'd go as far to say as a player, you sometimes want a change in Manager to kick start things and give you a lift. That's what I see here. There is a grey cloud hanging over the club and it sits with Jose. He brings too much negativity with him. He goes, that follows him.

Willow needs to get this next appointment right because so much is, IMO, hanging on it. A number of players will be looking to see what ambition the club will show, not least, Harry Kane. Ambition in the identity of the next manager and ambition in the transfer market.

But TBH, would that even be enough. This club needs a thorough keelhauling, it's stale and Mourinho is only a part of the reason for that.
