I remember the performances were shocking all season, but we managed to still win. People were saying that it was a sign that we were getting to the next level like Fergie's Utd - winning despite being crap.

The inevitable was that we stopped doing that - but I don't think the performances changed much for the entire season, really. It was arguably the same in the CL - some great moments, but both Liverpool and us were a bit crap during the whole campaign.

I wouldn't say we were shocking but we were definately under par and trending downwards, there were only a handful of complete performances and the rest were very sketchy.

Exactly. At the risk of this being a 'Poch' thread (people keep steering back to it), they need to remember how that "finished 4th" season ended:

But do you remember how many injuries were at the time and we lost dembele in jan and not replaced. If I am not wrong there was a time only Lorente and eriksen were available in the attack. Its ok for argument sake to show the results but for fair argument you must also consider the reasons behind it too. till jan we were flying and at one time just 2 points behind league leaders. It was exciting football we smashed 2 teams over Christmas period (one was everton we scored 5 and maybe second was bournmouth). And what was the reason for all this: oh yeah we signed no one for 3 windows and all blame was on poch and baldy got none. Even now you are blaming poch instead of baldy.

There was loads of blaming baldy. Still is. BUT, Poch was also to blame . Apparently he turned down some players, so we were willing to spend some money and anything would have been better than nothing in terms of recruitment.

Actually, my memory may be fucked here, didn't we have a full squad?

We all know Jose will manage another team and be hugely successful. He will probably manage another 4 teams and we will be the only team he has never won anything at. It’s just what we do.

He was nothing but a disaster at Spurs but if he'd replicated those Man U trophies here he'd almost be a legend. But he didn't and was wrong so we have to move on.

Genuinely can't understand why anyone is paying the slightest bit of attention to the **** or his social media.

The problem is when he left his other clubs he was always given the opportunity having sly digs at the club that sacked him.
Being that is now going into media you can expect more of the same but more often and louder as he will have a platform it will just be a reflection of his real character which will just confirm my opinion of him .
