We're wasting our time, especially by offering £30m. Would have to be at least £45m for them to even consider. And even then they don't exactly need the money do they? If they want to sell they'll let him go or loan him abroad and there'd be plenty of suitors.

From what I've learnt over the course of this summer, all we have to do is get all our staff from Daniel Levy to Granny Smith who does the tea and cakes, plus all the players to say that we want him. Then we just set up a stage at White Hart Lane and wait

In all seriousness, am I remembering correctly that Mata was one of the few players who really liked AVB from his time at Chelsea and defended him publicly in a few interviews? Maybe AVB just needs to give him a ring?

Shark clubs? I'm sorry, I don't ever recall us buying players just for the sake of it so that no one else can get them. The man is suited to that club. Classless.

Can't believe he benched Mata again, didn't even bring him on. It's ludicrous, the guy is the best player they have had for the past 2 seasons.

Yep, they were cosy - Mata was very complimentary and defensive of him and (I think) said he'd like to work with him again. Gotta be worth AVB taking ten minutes to give him a quick call...
