If its not Kounde, difficult to see who the other options are
Lacroix wont be sold by Wolfsburg from here - as per their sporting director
Jerome Botaeng - available on free
Pau Torres - United going for Varane so could be available
Lenglet - Barca wants to sell him for 15m
Demiral - injury prone.
Botman -good player from Lille
There are few others in Bundesliga & Ligue1. Its anyone's guess.

If it's not Kounde then I have full confidence in Paratici to bring in a quality alternative. Just loving his work so far.
If a good offer for Lacroix comes in, they will sell.

His links to us is just agent talks. Fact that its 4 years into his serieA deal, no other SerieA clubs have got him. I have seen him in 1 international game (TV)...he got beat in the air by minion Diego Jota for 2 goals and finished the game with red.
He is one player I dont want this summer.

I cant see Untied going for Kounde as well. So, if RM dont want Kounde, then runway is clear for us to him. It will come down to whether we can raise the cash and do everything possible to convince the player.

MadridXtra, equivalent of our Spurs Express or whatever, has them down as a tier 1 source
Never seen him play but from scouting reports/description he’s one that would seem to be a really nice fit for what we need.

Personally, if we buy Romero and Tomiyasu I don't know if we would seriously pursue Kounde.
We already have Tanganga and Rodon and Nuno/Paratici may prioritise other areas and only push the button on Kounde or others of a great deal can be made
