Really don't want to let myself get sucked in to this again. He is literally the perfect partner for Romero, they would complement each other so well.
Interesting. I would think it’s linked to the recent rumours that Sevilla are still in for Sanchez, and thus what our stance would be on that.Bump
Yeah, but he has no affiliation with us at this moment. He’s looking out for his career, and that involves playing in The Champions League, so I can understand his reluctance. It’s on us - or specifically Fabio - to persuade him to come to us. We hold the cards in the deal with Sevilla as they want Sanchez, we’ve just got to prove to the player that we mean business. We're already dealing with a fair bit of player not wanting to play for the club, so it's hard to get behind this one seeing as he pretty avidly wants to go to any other bidder but us.
Nothing will change unless the player changes his mind. I hope this is alluding to that. But I’d be very surprised if he’s wearing anything other than a Chelsea or Sevilla shirt next season. Next to Romero would obviously be perfect though.Bump
That seems to be the fundamental problem. In an ideal world Sevilla would prefer to do business with us. They want Sanchez, he's happy to go there, his inclusion reduces the fee they have to pass on to Bordeaux, we seem to value Sanchez realistically where Chelsea are overprinting Zouma. Everyone's a winner. Except one snag, Kounde wants CL football.Just can't see this happening, not sure we'll change his mind
Fab Romano said the player was buzzing for Chelsea 4 days ago, before that he wasn't keen on us.
Feels like a non-starter but I'd assume Rob has heard something (or is just having a laugh at our expense haha).

In case it’s not obvious, The Goat bleated
He’s probably had to Google usThe Goat’s latest bleat is very interesting. I’m not going to think about this one until we hear new news about his thoughts of Spurs though.
Just to add, I dont think Chelsea will hang around too long if they can't agree a deal with Sevilla. They were linked quite strongly with Lacroix in May and also Sule (year left on his contract) so wouldn't be surprised if they did switch targets if it drags on too long with Sevilla.
