If, and I know it's a large if, Liverpool beat Shitty and 'ol red nose loses to Newcastle, both plausible results and we beat WBA and Everton we will all be on 45 points. Remember, you heard it here first :eek:mg:

I can certainly see both drawing and us being just 1 point behind.

We CAN win it, I don't think we WILL win it, but if we believe we can put in a credible challenge.

If city are wobbling and all goes according to plan, we take a point from them at the Etihad and it is all on. We migt well be favourites at that point. Chelski, Pool and the scum are all too inconsistent to mount a real challenge, we are the only ones who can realistically challenge.

It really annoyed me on MOTD 2 yesterday when they didn't even mention us as challengers, it pissed me right off. We win our game in hand and we are 3 pts behind, that is close enough to be considered a challenger in anybody books, even with 2 games to go, nevermind with 20!

We ARE in the title race my friends!

We have a tough run of fixture in Feb. If we are still close at the end of this period, then I think we can start to begin to think a title challenge is on.

City and United rotate... I fear that we will run out of steam when they go up a gear

It does make me laugh, whenever it comes to being challengers, we are not even mentioned, it it was arsescum or chelsea, or liverpool in our position sky would be cumming all over them.

I said in another post, next week is going to be a teller, we are keeping it close, and have recovered well, from our first 2 games of the season, which I thought 'oh fuck'.

This is amusing me too, even today, when Arse were leading they were talking about them being in stunning form and being back in the title race. Even had Arse won today, they'd still have only been level with us, but having played two games more.

If Arse and Chelsea are still being talked about as having an outside chance, we surely need to be mentioned, at least in passing.

Right now we are in the title race, but alot can happen during the TW. Chelsea and United will probably sign a few good players, Arsenal are getting Henry in and he just might be able to deliever for them.

I think our End of Jan - End of March fixture list will put pay to any title challenge, but it'll be nice to be close going into that run of fixtures.

During our predicted tough run of games all of our rivals also have tricky run ins. Remember what happened a few years ago when we had to play Man City, Arse and Chelsea to make the Champs League? Everyone said we had no chance but we stepped our game up a gear and got the results. We can bloody well do it again, my only real worry is that our key players could get injured and we'll lose momentum.

I didn't believe in 2009/10 and we qualified. I believed last year and we didn't.

I will not believe this year.

the next few home games could really shape our destiny this year. I dare to dream but am as cynical as the next spurs fan.

Too right, we've had this game in hand hanging over us all season and it's about time we actually won it. It's been easy to think it's in the bag already but we need the points on the table.

You can assess your degree of confidence by which result you would like to see from the City V Pool game tomorrow.

Home- City move on and more difficult for Pool to catch us.

Draw- the fencesitter, neither team moves enough to really improve their position with us.

Away- Pool more likely to be a threat- but City within reach.

IMO a draw suits us but I'm cautious.

I'm thinking a draw is about the best we could hope for. Can't see Liverpool beating City at home, even if they are suffering a case of the wobbles at present.

Of course I will be hoping for Liverpool to beat Citeh. This is the title we're talking about, a couple of results go our way and we could be sitting on top of the table come the end of January. This is what it felt like being a school kid when I had a poster of Lineker and Gazza on my bedroom wall and supporting Spurs was full of endless possibilities. This, right here, right now.

Anyone hoping for a draw needs their head testing.

I reckon post of the year has come early.

And then Cundy, Nethercott and Dozzell pissed all over our faces.

Yeah, I still remember.
