I just cant see Yanited selling Martial to us, and I’m not sure who our other attacking targets are, so I cant comment.
It is underwhelming though, but sometimes those signings work out for the best?

Wasn’t the recent ITK suggesting we wanted Martial or Pulisic with Malcom being the back up. There’s also been links to Brandt and potentially Bailey... Kluivert would be 6th choice out of this lot.

So apart from having a famous Dad, is he actually any good? Looks like another punt to me, and we’ve got to the stage where we need more than punts imo.

Not sure mate, just hold tight and enjoy the transfer window ride. We might be pleasantly surprised by the end? ?

Its an under the radar signing, but maybe thats the way we have to play it?
I wouldnt say under the radar as it's been said by the player himself that we had a bid accepted last summer for him, so clearly we've rated him for a while.

Personally I think he's as good a talent as Malcom, and 22m Euro is not a lot in the current climate.

Especially when Herc said there'd be a couple of these "cheeky" (I think that was the word he used?) purchases, along with the couple of big money ones.

Ignore the welcome to Roma bit lol

He scores some excellent goals and shows some nice bits of skill but we need to remember the level he’s playing at... some of the defending is horrific. He’s also all right foot making him easier to mark at a higher standard of football eg EPL

I mean honestly how many wingers do we need? Unless we are afraid of the departure of/thinking about selling one or two ... We can't even give enough game time to the wingers we already have. Son, Lucas, Lamela, Onomah, N'Koudou, Eriksen, Dele, the game doesn't only evolve around AMs.

I think he could be a good signing, pace, has a lot of talent only just 19. We need to sign a couple of first teamers yes in key position if we loose Dembele but a side Fromm that signing g young talent is key. Let’s not forget what we are good at and who we are. We are not city, United or Chelsea we have a good starting plus 4-5 good players. What has kept us to play 3 in the last few season is 11 consistent players and star striker. Last season we had a few areas we were not as strong like full back. A fit Rose, perimeter KWP, a good CM signing and pos a CB. After that signing young talent who can be moulded and push for a first team spot is important. WE can’t spend 70 million on players ( maybe one). We have to be clever build on what we have.

P.s love to sign bale but it won’t happen.

Wouldn't be against it as long as it was seen as one we could develop for the future. To be fair, anyone Roma are after we should be following too. Monchi is a genius

Especially since we typically line up with only one true winger! Eriksen take the place of one of them.

That's it. You've got Eriksen and Dele, neither of which are wingers, and that leaves on singular spot for Luca, Lamela and Son. That really is an admirable collection already.

Yup. Monchi can be our DoF / Chief Scout without having to pay him a salary. :)

Yeah just watched that. Some of it looks like clips from youth football to me.

Yeah, I mean I don't expect this transfer to happen at all, I'm just interested in how people think this would be a smart allocation of our resources.

22M nowadays is akin to a 10M flyer 4-5 yrs ago. Take the flyer on the 19 yr old and see what you get.

Talented as he is he isn’t what we need right now. We need game changers to take us to the next level.
