There was a story of Ronaldo telling the people above not to sell Di maria as he a great player. It is clear ronaldo doesnt want bale to come and neither does the squad but it will be a different situation once bale signs

I actually think there is a quiet a high chance of him getting decent game time more than any other player fighting in their positions as I think we will look for a top class striker and get rid of the other two

Personally I like Benteke and if a deal can be done for less than Soldado fee, then great, As I think we will use two strikers in every match(not starting) and will need a powerhouse to break defences

Read in it in the spanish press and then has been reports from decent journos that all is not right in the dressing room in regards to Bale coming in

Interestingly there is know to be a split between the spanish players and the foreign/Portuguese players. ITK said when Bale comes it will be interesting to see if Ronaldo accepts it and this is very telling imo. The spanish players have been calling for bale to come but ronaldo and friends have not said anything even when asked they just stay PC. Though the spanish players according to spanish journos were also outspoken about the point of Bale.

Also the Di Maria story I have no idea i read it in general footy.

Welcome to SC and all that jazz, but seriously? Benzema ain't gonna trade Cl football at Madrid for Europa football in Tottenham. And then there's the wages. Yes we do have every chance of CL next year but arsenal can guarantee it this year.

IMO. Agree should be after Benteke, he is the one we should have got in the first place, him Soldado,and one Rebic/Castillo, perfect .

People say it is impossible I disagree. I think Perez has backed himself into a hole, stirred up the Spanish media, virtually promised Bale will be a RM player. Well if I was Levy I would demand Benzema, we are in a unique position, Levy can be hard nosed businessman, say to Madrid the deal is now of the table until they bring cash and Benzema to the table.

We are in London, improving, could well be champions league, Benzema's friend and international teammate plays for us in goal, so we cant be that low a club. We should be grabbing the bull by the horns, if RM want a world class player, then we want one in return and cash that is the deal, that is the price. Its up to Perez to find a way, or he can stand on his newly build stage with his d*** in the wind explaining to the RM fans and baying Spanish media, why Bale is still in London, when he promised him as a RM player.

I think we could go two up top, at least sometimes, especially if it's a target man type, like Benteke. You could have someone just in behind, maybe a Chadli/Lamela/Erickson a strong midfield base with three from Dembele/Sandro/Paulinho/Capoue and then get width from the full back area especially if Coentrao were to sign and for me Walkers better when he's got space infront of him and he doesnt have to be to intricate with someone playing right in front of him.
