Keane Form

Well it is three in three for Robbie Keane, it is amazing how many times he has a bad run and I (along with everyone else) have calling for Defoe, and then I look back and he has 3 goals in 3 games, and that usually means he will get 10 from the next 10 if past expierience tells us anything.

Amazingly he has hit form earlier than in previous seasons (from memory, I have not actually checked)

Well done to BMJ for sticking with him, once Robbie gets going, Spurs get going - and it looks like his run has begun

I'm a Keane fan but have not noticed him hitting form .

Both Keane and Berbatov have wanted too long on the ball this season whereas Defoe stood out for being so direct against Villa .

I'd try starting Defoe a couple of time , if for the only reason that the midfield will have to pull their own weight as Defoe does not drop back like Keane is so ready to do .

Until we sort out the midfield and defence , it's very difficult to assess our forwards except to say that they have all been missing good chances .

Sunderland - was the 2nd best player for Tottenham ( Kaboul 1s )
Everton - played and tried his best although he was out of position .. worked to much in right side and even better than Chimbonda .. was the best alongside Malbranque
Derby - was poor
Man Utd - was ok ( although unlucky not score 1st min ! )
Fulham - played well ( two asissts )
Arsenal - was poor
UEFA cup - ( didn't see the game .. but he scored good goal )
Bolton - did his job ( scored )
Middlesbrough - ( didn't see the game .. was subs but made wonderful assist for vital goal ! )
Aston Villa - played very well .. looked every where ! ( scored )

not at his best .. but his form is ok/Good considering to our form and results .. and other players !

Keane's team-work is 10-10 .. very important for our team and forced to drop into the middle to make more creativity from Mid. as they struggled to do that enough times as it is our weakest link in the team.

Those who are impressed by Keane's performance last night suffer from typical British short-sightedness, i.e., they are prone to conflate effort, commitment and class. Though Keane was everywhere he was largely ineffective. In fact, he was poor. He created literally nothing. Berbatov who played below his standards from last season scored from open play and created good chances for his teammates (for Tainio and Keane in the first half, and a sitter for Defoe in he second half). But he didn't run like a headless chicken.

Berbatov was fucking wank and has been all season, he's a lazy fucker & I'm pretty fucking glad we didn't double his wages like you suggested!

nonsense .. I'm not a british .. am I ?

How to say he is ineffective and he made good movement in the middle .. I'm not saying he was a main key for our fight back .. but he was one of the best for Spurs .. so how Spurs scored 3 then ?

also, I'm shocked your compared him with Berbatov although they are doing different job on the pitch .. but as you're supporting a player more than the team .. yeah Berbatov was our best player in last season .. but that's doesn't mean Berbatov is everything for the team, the fact Robbie Keane helped him to shine and score as a assisted a lot of goals and he is Important for the team as the same as Berbatov and you can see his worth by looking at how Spurs changed the game against Blackburn ( Ghaly subs ) when we were very poor but dominated the game after his coming .. again he created wonderful goal against Bro after his coming ( where was Berbatov before that ? )

For sure .. Keane played better game than Berbatov yesterday .. that's doesn't mean he is better player or more important player .. but that's also doesn't mean Berbatov is everything at the club .. it's just rate for one game and you should respect it .. you can see high rates for Berbatov against Man Utd and lower ones for Keane when he wasn't good likes of Derby and Arsenal ( so you can't complain about our love for Berbatov or blue-eyes for Keane .. we love them both without any doubt ! )

Edit: sorry for writing and language errors

Ferguson after the game at OT: Berbatov is a marvellous player.

Kendall or Ferguson - It's no brainer :hump:

Berbatov knows already that some Spurs fans are total shit just like you. He doesn't give a shit for such pathetic morons. And if you were smarter you would understand that Levy did exactly what I suggested here two moths ago, namely he raised Berbatov's wages even though Berbatov refused to sign an extension.

So, when he heads off to United you're going to go and condescend on one of their message boards, are you?

Berbatov's a great player, but last night he was OK, nowhere near his best. It really is a shame you appear to take the slightest criticism of him as a personal slur, and that you have a tendency to rubbish other players' efforts in order to highlight his. Keane gave a captain's performance and was everywhere, filling in gaps as players pushed forward, encouraging, leading by example. And he had a higher percentage of successful passes than Berba and only one shot fewer. Not to mention a notably cool penalty under extreme pressure.

Running around like headless chicken? I don't think so. But you're entitled to your opinion, just as some of us are entitled to have a little chuckle at it. Do excuse us poor ignoramuses who simply support our team through thick and thin.

Any more lazy similes?

Keane has had an absolutely shocking season. 60 minutes against Fulham has pretty much been the only time he has looked good, and even in that match he fucked up a chance to put the game to bed which was costly.

A penalty, a rebound against one of the worst teams in the league, and one against a bunch of no-hopers hardly constitutes good form.

Sorry but, I was always under the impression that a corner was a set piece and as such scoring from one doesn't constitute scoring from open play.

Keano has created more chances than any other player in the Premiership so far this season. Both he and Malouda are on 20 and then Fabreagas is on 19, so his form really can't have been that bad. I think he's suffered from his association with Jol and being known as a favourite. People are looking to find fault with Keano at the moment, so they can then use it against Jol for sticking with him. But surely the idea of sticking with a player that has created the most chances, in arguably the best league in the world, can't be that bad? We are lucky to have Keane, yet every season people question him and criticise him, yet he always delivers. How many strikers have a better strike rate than him in the Prem over the last 3 years?

I was not saying that Keane is firing on all cylinders, he clearly isn't BUT he has started scoring goals, and anyone who has followed Spurs over the past few years will tell you once he gets 1 or 2 in a row he goes on a run of around 10-15 games where he scores just about a goal a game, which usually means Spurs go on a good run too.
