Then six months later you have to come back with your tail between your legs to find that you haven't been missed and you are no longer the crowd favourite.

It's bound to make your game suffer.

But hopefully it's all behind him as an on-form Keane is our best forward and, assuming his pre-season form isn't a false dawn, it could save us a small fortune in the transfer market.

Very Happy to see some postive reponses on this thread after seeing so much negativity towards Keane on this site. Would love to see him return to form that makes him an automatic starter. He seems like a guy who will thrive if we throw our support behind him, as we should do with all our players. Wouldn't it be great to go a whole season without slagging off our players, even Jenas , imagine the lift we could give this squad of immense potential.
