Against Chelsea JJ wasnt even in the middle properly... It was a very odd formation that day, still not sure what Harry was thinking. Anyhow, JJ has been very good since coming back from injury. Palacios had a shocker against Bolton Saturday by the way, Jenas covered well. Their partnership is only going to blossom, so long as we dont get on their backs at every bad performance...

I notice not many of you mentioned JJ's contribution to yesterdays game but I just have to say he was good and I think he may just be turning the corner. I thought he was very alert and his passing was smooth and direct.

I've always slated him in the past when he played bad so I'm gonna credit him every time has plays a good game.
So far since his come back from injury he has been very consistent

Keep it up JJ :clap::clap::clap:

The thing with JJ is that he blows hot and cold and will probably have a shocker at bolton next saturday.

:eek:mg:Do you live in a contracting Universe...or is JJ going to decamp up to Bolton to pay that crew all on his lonesome:eek:mg:

I have been one of the pro-JJ team for the following reason: I have always conceded that he is frustratingly inconsistent. But he is also exceptionally talented. My favourite JJ story to quote to the knockers (ooeeerr missus) is the one where Bobby Robson was asked who the most talented player he had ever managed was, and, without hesitation he said 'JJ'. This is the guy who made Ipswich a force, and managed England and Barcelona (to name a few), and he rates JJ that highly. JJ is reportedly wanted by Mourinho at INter, as well, so the guy really must have something. And folk seem to miss the point that he is still realtively. He doesn't always seem to be fulfilling his potential, but all footballers have bad patches, and, as they say: "form is temporary, class is permanent".
I believe it would be a crime to get rid of...I thought that 2 seasons ago, one season ago, and today.
I am prepared to be proven wrong.

For some reason Spurs fans think JJ is rubbish and inconsistant because he is compared with people like Gerrard and Lampard. They both play in a 5 man midfield and get freedom. JJ sits distributes and starts attacks and is the key to spurs playing well. Defensively he is prob more aware than palacious granted he does not put as many tackles in.

In a 442 with people like modric and lennonplaying there needs to be two midfielders that sit and he is amazing at this. You talk about finding a world class centre mid but people like fabregas dont come along every day. Jenas is prob one of our best players and until palacios came along often did a two man midfield job by himself.

breaking news: spurs fans in not giving JJ enough credit shock!!!

i think he's had a good season so far, except for chelsea and (peculiarly) preston

Another great game from JJ yesterday

Add that to his previous great game and the 1 before that and the 1 before that 1 etc etc etc ........

.....going back to when he joined us and he's been a major reason in our great league finishing positions recently

He's been the heartbeat of the team since he joined and is a top player......much better that 99% of the crap I have had to watch for Tottenham in midfield since 1975

JJ is one of our most important players it would be crazy to get rid of him, any team outside the top four would want him.
