Lads JJ said this was dead ages ago and we had moved onto "other options". So Gards is reiterating what he has said. So this is 100% over. We have others in line

Juventus have been trying to agree a deal with Lazio president Claudio Lotito, while Tottenham have also been mooted as having an interest in the Senegal international.

But Lazio have held firm with their demands and Juve CEO, Giuseppe Marotta, has now confirmed that the Italian champions are no longer pursuing the 22-year-old.

Marotta told Italian news agency ANSA: "We have made an offer to Lotito that we think is fair.

"He is the one in charge of deciding his club's strategies and we have withdrawn."

If we were so close and juventus were the only rivals to his signature then it makes no sense why we wouldn't go in for him

Possibly because him and his agent dicked us about to flush out Juve. You don't slap the bald man on the head and then ask for breakfast

Sad fact is if you want players to take the team to the next level the club need to be prepared that we wont necessarily be their first choice

I'd be tempted to keep him a year and let him join Juve on a free next summer to send a message if I was Lotito (if those numbers are true).

Seeing West Ham in that list made me laugh... Desperate club.
