great freekick but bloody lazy , could hear sherwood shouting bloody do something, i dont think he will be at the club too long he only played 45mins but looked like he had played 120 mins, but the irritating thing is his passing was good but he doesnt chase when he doesnt have the ball just mopes around,

thanks.
sounds like he hasnt changed much. talented but lazy

just got back ,ceballos was awesome, touch, passing and most of all his finishing was great, played free role in a midfield 3 behind, kane and lancaster, with falque, on the right, kane was poor, as was the defence and i have to say Alnwick was awful

Ceballos is 18 isn't he? I've got a good feeling about him. Although that may have more to do with the bottle of wine I consumed recently.

That's the best way to watch us recently...

Can anyone comment on how Parrett okayed tonight?

not sure really to be fair the ball went through him every time , he might of been just knackered, you could tell he has been brought up with barca, his through ball for the 5th goal was amazing , he was right side of midfield and played a great through ball for the left winger to pull it back for falque to score,

Cheers for that. Nice to hear. Sounds like a good work ethic and combative?

I was going to go to the game tonight (the all you can eat for £20 sounded appealing! haha) but our reserve side trains on a Wednesday and I had to take over this week.

Did the 2 new players show good effort when they didn't have the ball?

yes mate ihad the £25 and eat as much chinese as you can , which is a reason i'm not in ned yet lol, yes scertainly ceballos will be given a go always looks to beat a player then on 2 occassions he retrieved the ball back twice sliding in and even went in for a 50/50 which really impressed me, would like to see him in the vdv/modric role in carling cup. i must say his finishing was awesome to poke chip over the keeper

How were Ceballos and Falque off for pace? We need a quick option who can play as a wide striker/winger in a front three. If just one of the three Barca boys (Gio, Iago or Ceballos) could step up and give us an option I'd be far more confident about the coming season.

the best way i could descibe ceballos is slim short guy remins me of gio but better potentially, more sharp , you know how modric can glide past a player , very simular in that way keeps the ball on his left foot the whole time, and falque seems quite simular really but not as thin , likes the ball on his left foot quick feet, falque played nicholson in with a great reverse pass, which nicholson skied over the bar.their awareness for players around them was great especially around the oppositions box, they both have pace about them , but have great ball controll as well

Sounds promising. It sounds like Ceballos and Falque were making an effort.

If they're smart, they'll realise that if they keep on putting in the work, it will be rewarded. So many of our youth players, or players like Gio, take their foot off the pedal and expect to cruise into the first team.

If Ceballos and Falque (and Coulibaly for that matter) keep applying themselves, I'm sure they will get their chance.

yeah when we signed him it was stated that he had a year left on his contract.

I imagine we would have put in place some contingencies for him being shit hot...

We would have to pay a nominal fee (judged by tribunal) as he is under 24 (or is it 25?)

We have agreed a option to buy but this option would have to be taken by january before he could talk to other clubs and then we may have a situation where he has signed for another club in january but playing for us till may with a fee going to juve

how many people wanted to take that free-kick!

Bostock won on height (i think...) and love the way all these little guys patted him on the head.

Good highlights there, better than some lower league highlights i've seen on the beeb.

and unless they had already earned that time and space (stand off much?) you can't really take much from that match.

Having watched that video that was kindly posted I agree with HR that our young players need to go out on loan. The quality of the match was sooooooo low. No pace, no aggression, no pressure.

I was at the game too last night. ere is my assessment of the evening.

Really poor and really sublime would be the words to use.

Some of those boys looked out of there depth. The centre halfs Nicholson and Effoto or whatever he was called were both extremely poor.

Was looking forward to seeing parrett and Caroll in centre midfield but again they both had poor games to be fair. I expected parrett to be a lot better than he was too. Not too sure what type of modfielder he is as hes not creative and he isnt a defensive midfielder either.

Was shocked to see the mighty Bostock on the bench. But having watched him warm up and go through hjis opaces during the interval from 15 yards away its all too apparent why he doesnt play. Big time charlie springs to mind. He is lazy couldnbt be bpothered warming up correctly was getting shourted atall before he even got on. He scored a worldy free kick but bar that looked slow and cumbersome. Shewrwood was on his back most of the second half.

Kane has a real off night too as his touch was awful something ive been imressed with him previously.

Iago Falque had a great night. Looks a real player asnd i would certainly have him as a sub as he is a real impact player. Same size and looks ;like van der vaart but the boy has blistering pace. Loves to get a shot away. Switched wings all the time as he loved to cut in on his left and get a shot away. It was only kettering but impressed big time.

Cabellos - Tim sherwood wrote on the web site that they were excited by him and i can see why. Stature of messi. Very skinny but slightly taller than messi. As all barca product would be he is so comfortable with the ball at his feet.

His 2 goals were sheer class. He played so many probing balls neat 1, 2's. He made good runs. He is quick. He has amzaing skill. He was head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch and came off to a huge ovation from everyone in the ground.

I knew who he was biut all bnight all you could hear were people saying who is number 7 he's awesome.

Good work out for the young lads as beleive me kettering has out some absolute beasts!!! They were all huge physical men and all in all they competed very well.

The fututre is bright in cabellos and Falque
