If he missed it deliberately, then we should sign this guy at all costs - any player who can hit the post at will from 12 yards is deadly accurate.

Anyone that can miss penalties is a Spurs lad, thats why soldado needs to go! ;)

As Carragher said, if he's injured why's he taking the penalty right on the stroke of half time lol

It was probably all the beats he got at half time that injured him.....

Oh and he could replace Andros as our chief pen taker now.

Do you guys know the quoted fee for Mirallas? He is 27 years old now.

Don't know about an official number, but the Everton fans are saying they'd take £15m for him, which I think would be a great bit of business for us.

I haven't seen the incident but I think it would be crazy to think that he did it willingly. Mirallas would be an upgrade on Townsend and Lennon for sure and he would fight for a starting spot with Chadli and Lamela so I'm all for this transfer. Have we had any ITK or reliable sources on it?

Maybe offering Lennon and dembele may tempt Everton. Other than that I see it being a less than20% chance they will sell this window

Did nobody see what he just did in that game? And some want this guy at THFC?
Sorry-no likee!

Guy takes penalty but isn't the usual penalty taker, you get so enraged, you don't want him anywhere near the club.

Guy gets pissed up & drives down the motorway over 100MPH, has a reputation for a bad attitude & off-field issues, but you brush that aside & argue with every member who doesn't want that sort of person at our club.

Seems logical

Sounds like a cocky twat and a trouble maker to be honest.

And we don't need that sort of characters near our team, we have it seems, a good group of players getting along at the moment, don't want some mediocre dick come in and mess that up

As opposed to the mediocre nice guys we already have messing things up.

Like who?

And if we already have mediocre dicks why replace it with another one? Just to have someone new?
The guy has got no resale value, and would demand a long contract on top of a high salary. I'd offer £5 mill tops.

The only way this story makes sense is if the teams decide to swap persona non gratas - i.e. Lennon, Kaboul and Adebayor in exchange for Mirallas ;)

This potential transfer is reminiscent of how Spurs legend Pienaar came to the club. Fantastic player!!!!!1 So yes £5 mill tops. Would rather stay well away. He'll be another ageing player hogging up a squad position whilst bloating the wage bill.

Some plebs will no doubt claim that he's a fantastic purchase thanks to six goals next season :shifty:

He is a better attacking midfielder than all of ours with the exception of Eriksen.

Sooner have him than Townsend, Lamela, Lennon or even Chadli.

Doesn't he keep Chadli out of the Belgian national side more often than not?

Bit harsh calling people who disagree with your opinion "plebs".

I'd argue that Mirallas is a better player than Pienaar anyway and comfortably worth more than £5m.

I'm not inferring that anyone in favour of buying him is a pleb. However, I am criticising the complete lack of understanding amongst many fans as to why Soldado has been a catastrophic purchase, while Lamela still has time on his side to turn it around.

I'd have been in favour of signing him three years ago. If we pay £15 mill for a 28-year-old, he'd better be good. And Mirallas isn't that good. Heard many claims over the years that our players are performing inconsistently. Therefore, it would be interesting to see how our fans take to the consistently inconsistent Mirallas.
