just a quick off-topic question. can he play CB? we might lack CBs theese days becouse of injuries and this is possible solution:

Rose Dawson Walker Naughton

I wouldn't use Walker at centre back. It would make use of none of his assets, whilst risking exposure of his deficits. He has played there in the lower divisions, but not since he was a teenager and never at Premiership level. I'd play Capoue there if necessary and then, if Capoue is unavailable, I'd play Sandro there in preference to Walker.

He is not a 'amazing' player. His attacking qualities are not amazing and his defensive qualities are not amazing, I am not amazed by him.

He is a good RB who can be better if he concentrates and cuts out errors.

He also needs to improve his decision making when attacking and stop killing the momentum by refusing to cross first time when the opportunity is there.

Walker has definitely played CB for spurs early in his career. Before we loaned him out. Was probably a cup game, or maybe a friendly. I remember some people debating whether that would be his eventual position. He did quite well iirc. However I wouldn't like to see him play there at all now, I'd rather use capoue if anyone has to play out of position to cover there.

Hmmm I don't think I did argue against Corchia's qualities, as I said I've never seen him play, so I couldn't do that.

What I said was he plays for an awful team who are virtually already relegated from a weak league, and he forms part of a defence who leak goals for fun, 37 in the league already. Also that despite being Walkers age he has received no full international recognition from 2 possible countries and that's despite France not exactly being overloaded with quality RB's. To me (just my opinion) doesn't point to a player that would be an upgrade on Walker, but if he's showing the qualities you say in such a poor team he must be a real player, but just surrounded by total shit.

Out of interest why do you watch so much of Sochaux (online I presume)?

Well I tend to follow up watching players that look quality, obviously I mainly watch Spanish football but I was watching Capoue at Toulouse around four years back, used to watch Suarez and then Verts at Ajax, Griezmann at Sociedad. Obviously I don't watch every game but I do check out the games when I can and how those players are performing. Not always all game, like Saturday the PSG game was still going on when we started so there's no comflict at that point.
As for Corchia I don't think the fact that he hasn't got a senior cap yet is that relevant, he has a number of youth/under 21s for France (so Italy is irrelevant) and in recent years they have had the likes of Sagna who only got into the international team after signing for the scum, Debuchy from when Lille were doing well and they have played Jallet late in his career as PSG have flourished. The French team do tend to get picked from the leading clubs, understandably to a degree but it doesn't mean others from lesser teams don't merit it, just often tends to take them longer.
So yes he is a quality player and yes Sochaux overall are a poor team and certainly not the most exciting to watch although you do see goals!, but a lot of French teams are made up of a few really good players and a number of players of dubious quality, they are not all bad just lack enough good
Walker for me has always been an excellent athlete, great pace and stamina but little brain or vision, not a good defensive reader, a player who could ton it upfield in attack then stand around dithering in advanced areas not sure what to do with the ball. Thankfully he seems to have cut the dithering and indecision down a lot and will try and play a pass or have a crack and I guess that's a step in the right direction even when he makes wrong decisions because it's better to do something than nothing and at least then sometimes it will be a good decision.
I think his heart is in the right place but I think he really lacks a good footballing brain and vision. Of course I accept that Corchia could arrive in the PL and struggle but when you look at how well he reads attacks and positions himself and times his tackles and his awareness going forward and his interpassing and overlapping then it leads me at least to believe he would adapt well to it very quickly and prove an excellent player.
As said I think Walker has some attributes but whatever you think he should have some real competition to push him and I really don't think Naughton offers that and equally I don't think playing Walker so much is really benefiting him
