No idea how people think its the best league in the world. It's fucking atrocious. Complete mockery of a league.

I'd wager Real Madrid doing that to quite a few teams in our league TBH. When they played Liverpool in the CL they looked like they were on a different planet to them.

Anyway I don't think that is the best league in the world, I don't actually think there is one however it's still a good league. I think people tend to look at it by these crazy scorelines and think that there's a two team dominance but looking the top two would embarrass pretty much anyt eam around the world bar Bayern and PSG.

You mean the 6-1 game on the last day of the season and they weren't even trying as opposed to a CL game?

Beat us 5-0 over 2 legs too.

Liverpool rested players against Real Madrid, so did they really try in the CL game?

That scoreline was mainly down to Crouch and Gomes. Had Crouch not got sent off it would have been closer imo, though real madrid are much stronger now than they were then

Not in the first game they didn't.
Fair Enough but I don't think that was necessarily a good Liverpool team. They have got stronger since then and arguably Real Madrid much weaker with the Ronaldo situation and manager situation

You're deviating from the point, Real Madrid comfortably beat Liverpool, without really breaking a sweat, it was merely an example to point out the difference in quality to a team like Real and everyone else, not just teams in La Liga.

I think the issue with la liga is that the elite teams are so far ahead of the sporting gijons, vallecanos etc that the gulf is quite evident. However, if messi, neymar and Suarez rocked up in the prem, I'd bet it would be a similar case. The opposition would just break out in a sweat having to face that lot. Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema too.

We've already seen evidence of this when Bale, Ronaldo and Suarez dominated the league. The prems elite is not even close to la ligas, that's why the prem is much tighter.

Madrid 3-0 up in 16 minutes against Espanyol. Could get ugly...

I've just watched halilovic properly for the first time and he actually is luka modric mk.2, the likeness is uncanny apart from him being left-footed.

I still wonder if he was paid to make 2 such incredibly stupid takcles so early in the game so soon after each other :p

Real M. line up: Casillas - Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Ricardo Carvalho, Marcelo - Khedira, Xavi Alsono. Ozil - Ronaldo, Ade, Di Maria.
I do not believe Real M. are much stronger now than they were then. They lost in semis to Barca, who went on to win the CL.

It's the best league in the world because of the following:

In the last 15 years La Liga has had 10 teams in the final of the Europa league. We've had 4. In the last 4 years Spain's La Liga has had 4 teams in the final winning it 3 times. We've had 1. The Champions League is also dominated by La Liga too with 3 winners out of the last 5 years, we had 1.

I don't see that changing this year either.

Statistics and trophies prove that over the last 10 years La Liga has produced the most winners and finalists. Sure, it may not be the most exciting, but technically the top half of La Liga are technically superior to the Premier Leagues top half. No other league comes close.

Malaga's finishing yesterday was awful and Valencia must be grateful for Grenada's awful decision making.

On a better note, it's good to see Villarreal doing well again, I hope they can sustain it.
