or boring

wonder when the spanish will learn that winning 5-0 every week will turn fans away?

Me and my three grandchildren loved it and so did the crowd.
A Christiano hat-trick was their collective dream
and fulfilled on their first visit to a league game.
Can't afford to take them every week
but I would if I could.

If only they won 5-0 every week though.
More uncertainty these days, four or five decent teams
and the level of technical excellence
even in the so called also -rans is impressive.

Id rather watch a tight 2-1 like we had at city than a 5-0 drubing eveyweek.

AS long as we win the tight 2-1 though
and it wasn't us getting drubbed.:)

Im sure it was great for the kids tho. I saw a Ronaldo hat trick at the bernabeu when they beat depor 4 or 5 nil.

Real lost to Atletico 1-0 today and after the game Ronaldo said, "If we were all at my level maybe we would be leaders". Gotta love the man's ego.

But apparently he's booed because people are "jealous"

Funny how no one's jealous of Messi (the best player in the world)

Nothing to do with him being a prize penis.

Maybe there should be a new prize just for him...

I still find it funny how there's even a debate about the best player in the world. Ronaldo is unquestionably incredible, and in any other era he'd be the leading player on the planet...

...but Messi is not only the better footballer, but plays in a spirit and style that encapsulates everything that is great with the game. The only player that has ever made me giggle like a little schoolgirl on a consistent basis due to the pure audacity of his abilities.

Sometimes I think it's because the definition of "better" isn't always black and white. If I was a football manager for a PL side and I had the choice to sign one of them I would sign Ronaldo. Doesn't make him a better player, just maybe better suited.

I agree that it is a more complex situation than it might initially appear. I'd sign Messi because he's the greatest footballer on the planet and would piss all over the vast majority of Prem defences, or any other league in the world, but I can see how Ronaldo might annoy his opposition into submission on occasion.

It's a tough one!

I believe him when he basically says he was taken out of context.

Real Madrid take the lead against Barca 2 minutes after Ramos got his 20th career red card. 20th!

Barcelona losing 2-0 at home to Valencia. The handkerchiefs might be coming out soon.

As it stands Atletico Madrid will be level on points and Real only one behind.

Surely if Barcelona get beat today, Enrique can't stay beyond next season. I fear that they will go for Poch.:(

If they don't win the league he'll more than likely be gone, but they'll probably still win it.

My big fear is that they might go for Toby or Jan because they desperately need at least one CB and either would be perfect for them.

It would be our luck that happened.

They're the best team in the world. But on current form, they'll be lucky to get this level. When it's going your way, the deflection for the first goal goes over the bar or wide. Shite luck happens to the very best.

Barca really wobbling now.

I don't particularly rate Enrique, I think he wings it quite considerably on the outstanding front three whilst other facets of the game are nothing to write home about particularly benchmarking it against recent Barca teams, but I'd have some sympathy with him as I think Barca need to change higher up the food chain. The club isn't being run well in my opinion.

It's his fault for the lack of rotation.

The players are fatigued, playing badly and lacking in confidence.

If Atletico go one point ahead it's over IMO, Simeone will shut it down and throw away the key.
