Managers are not magicians. In two months I can absolutely guarantee if the personnel is the same you'll still be seeing the same type of performances because the team is desperately short of class in attacking areas. I like Pochettino, but maybe it's time for people to stop thinking that this group of players are brilliant really and just need a manager. It doesn't work like that.

Here goes my unpopular opinion :



There is not one game or a 30 minute duration where he has been good for us. If we scrutinize, FC Sheriff if the only one that comes to mind. Apart from that game, there has not been a single game, he has played a average game. One of the PL stat I saw last week, showed he has a abysmal passing accuracy.

I am not asking for a world class performance; Yesterday, we saw Tadic play for Southamton. Just within few touches he showed his creativity & class. Take the examples of our academy youngsters - Bentaleb & Mason - when they got their chance, they have taken it and gained respect within our club & outside. Even Dier, who is a 20 year old CB, needed just one competitive game to show his skills.

I often hear the excuse - he was injured. If so, let me clarify - I am only talking about the team he did play without injury.

If Lamela has shown his class, then his class is poor.

Just for a brief moment, detach yourself being a Spurs fan. Honestly, on hind sight will you buy him again?

But I agree with your last line.

All we have is hope; hope that some day he will come good. Hope that our record signing doesn't become a laughing stock.

wasnt really poor at all. i said 5 mins into his debut that he is special. he was just an 18 playing football having some great games and some quieter ones. always was a threat and involved though

Not sure comparing him to Ronald OS a good idea, CR in his first season as an 18 year old was voted MU player of the season.

Not sure why people get so uppity about whether he will make it of not. This basic situation is this;

We all want him to succeed. No one knows whether he will of not. If he doesn't we will sell him and lose a little money. If he does we will sell him in a couple of years and make money.

IMO we need to give him game time to see which way he goes but I think everyone needs to stop obsessing over individual players.
