Lamela:
"It’s something I’ll always remember, because it’s something different from the other goals I’ve scored.

"I've scored like that before, when I was playing in the junior sides at River Plate. It just happened in a flash.

"I wasn't thinking about doing something like that. I just wanted to score, and it was the most effective, comfortable way of making it happen."

"The goal was important for me but also because I needed to score, any type of goal,"

"I’m happy for the goal and the win. I hope to continue in this way but it’s just one game for me. I need to think about doing other things well and continuing to improve."

Kane:
"It was unbelievable technique for him to pull that off,"

"For him to even try it on the big stage, I am delighted for him because both his goals were top, top finishes. I probably won’t be trying it."

That is the mark of a genius. Everything is unplanned and is instinctive. Hope Poch doesn't coach that out of him.

Loved the comments from Harry about Lamela, in fact I just love Harry full stop.

Lamela returned the favour and spoke very highly about Kane and how he always stays late to do extra practice and he deserved his goals.

Love that stuff.

I'd like to see a lineup that features Lamela, Eriksen, and Kane in a Premier League match soon. If not Newcastle, maybe Aston Villa. The creativity that would be on display would make it the Spursiest team I've seen in a while.

there was another passage last night when we trapped in the corner of our own half and Lamela showed on Asteris player the ball, pulled it back and split two of their players before snapping off a quick pass to Jan to get us out of danger that made me say "Wow" out load.

Vertonghen did the same thing - that sort of "what on earth have I just seen?" reaction! Must be great to be able to awe your own team mates like that!

Yeah true, read Verts' interview after saying he spent the next 2 minutes thinking about nothing but the goal, completely mindblown lol

My word what is that muppet paul lambert going on about, sounded a right kill joy fool.
Jamie said the right things but you could tell it was painful for him.
Glad sky bought the rights though, it's nice to see us getting some positive press and should be a massive confidence boost for lamela.
I live in Canada now so don't get SKY. What did they say?

Such a shame the ground was'nt full last night to see the wonder goal from Lamela and Harry Kane's hat trick.

pretty sure if i even attempted that I'd tear my achillies .. or something

I used to play right midfielder/winger in my youth, about 20 years ago. My favourite move was to get close to the left back, feign outside and pirouette inside, worked like a charm 9/10 times. This one game I was moved over to the left winger position, and in my first confrontation with the right back I did the exact same move, only I remembered halfway through that I needed to pirouette the other way when playing on the left. That threw me off balance, so my only option was to attempt a rabona cross.

Long story short: I tripped myself - David Dunn style - and the ref gave me a free kick, thinking I'd been fouled. The subs bench fell off their seats laughing, even 'Coach Stoneface' had to smile.

Adrian Durham is having a melt down against Lamela and Spurs. First time I have listened to him. What did we do that he hates us this much?

We ain't won the league for fifty years, we have a shitload of fans that like to watch entertaining football and we always seem to shoot ourselves in the foot, along with the fact he thinks Spurs fans are deluded (though not as blindingly deluded as the goons), I honestly don't know what his problem is!! Maybe it's because very few Spurs fans are gullible enough to call his show, coz the vast majority of us know his MO and it wrankles him a tad, the ginger twat!!!
