Stats, got anything to back up your argument. Didn't think so.
The same stats that you have, the frequency with which he delivers these, and he games e does it in. His overall performance and his influence on the fluidity of attacks, and the number of stupid fouls committed. I am sure I could go on but you will just keep spewing the same defense and quite frankly people like you bore me.

Everyone else apart from Soldado was better.
Yes even Fazio and Vertonghen who gifted them two goals.
C'mon. Seriously?
Fazio was all over the place. A number of players were crap tonight and Lamela was far from worst.

An absolute waste of space all game tonight.
Telegraphed almost every single pass he attempted.
Tell me one player that wasn't? When you lose, you lose as a team. Lamela is the whipping boy though, so I guess it is only fitting that he is singled out to take the blame for the defensive errors and Soldado's mistake, especially as he made that pass to him. Shocking really that he had the audacity to make such a crucial error in finding Soldado................

lamela lacks pace and that will always hold him back, you can compare him to early Ronaldo but Ronaldo got past players with his pace and he was quicker with his decision making, I was a fan when we signed him but hes been a major disappointment and I hate saying that about our own players

When he first arrived and he was caught on the ball all the time by opposition players, I thought it was coming from the italian league where there is more time on the ball, and he would learn that he wont get that amount of time on the ball in the english league. But it does not seem
to have corrected this, its insane how much he gets caught on the ball this added to the fact he is so lightweight when tackled its hard to see afuture for him in the premier league.

Sorry guys, but I just don't see Lamela working out for us and I'll tell you why....

I just don't see him doing enough on the ball, yes I know he has some assists and goals but when he's on the ball I'm not seeing enough quality. Add to that his lack of explosiveness and I think he will continue to struggle.

Yea I know he works hard, but I'd rather he worked less hard and dos something more creative in the final 3rd. That's what we really need, I want him to successfully beat a man or play some key passes.

Whenever he has the ball I feel he is more likely to lose it than do something productive.

Hope he can prove me wrong but I've given up on him being an attacking force for us especially on the league .

I think I've accepted that it will be difficult for Lamela to do well as a RM in the PL. However, I think our management needs to recognise that putting Eriksen on the left, and Lamela in the middle will bring out the maximum benefit for us.
