it was a game.
One team was 2-0 up.
It ended 2-2.
If we had won - we would have finished second om PL

People are putting so much additional value into this game that is simply not true, and or at least not evidence for.

Would we have won if we didn't put up a "fight"? Maybe and maybe we had lost 3-2.

Did we lose our pl title here? No way. We lost when Leicester beat Norwich 1-0 om the 90th minute, and when They equalized vs west ham om the 94th minute.

It was a game. It ended in a draw. It was a respectable draw.

Get over it.

TBF I'm sick of the "Spurs lost their heads" narrative.

Chelsea came out right ****s and our players weren't protected at all. The ref should have stamped his authority early on Chelsea players and didn't and that's why our layers were so incensed.

We were 2-0 up - the far superior side. It was Chelsea's shit that started everything.

even their 1st goal started with ivanovic assaulting Jan before the ball fell to Cahill and Clutterfuckingupberg was directly in line with it. unless you were Spurs fans the whole world wanted Leicester to win the league.

Dier v Costa tomorrow could be very interesting with Dier being very fluent in Spanish

thought their language was pretty similar just different in the tone, anyway with Costa being Brazilian born their language is similar to Portuguese I believe.

whatever language he uses I really hope he can rile him up enough to see red

I can tell you that this is not the case, some words are similar and that's about it really. But they both speak Portuguese so I expect there to be words said. I'm fully expecting Dier to be on the wrong end of a bad decision from the ref whilst Costa gets away with murder.

apparently on the Chavscum site someone posted Oliver has clashed with Costa before, or that he will definitely get booked. Dier will dig at him that's for sure, just hope Costa responds and sees red the ****

Perhaps we could go on
to set a new Premiership yellow card record.
We've got Wanyama now so 10 yellows could be worth a flutter.
We should have had a couple of reds too but never mind.

Unfortunately they are playing well
and will stick to football this time
and ignore our attempted tough guy tactics.

Yes , the Battle of the Bridge . I felt strongly about it at the time (90% 0f my SC neg ratings are from reaction to the match)
I felt it was a significantly bad game for us and see stats in the paper today outlining our fall away of subsequent form .

Obviously there are numerous other variables in this reduction in form , but there was something about that famous match
that seemed to change things...not least our immediate collapse in the remaining 2 matches .

Was it wrong that I really thought of giving you a neg rating for that? :D

I didnt have any moral objection to us roughing up and fouling chelsea players - I quite enjoyed it

I very much opposed people celebrating it despite the fact we through away a two goal lead though - to me that was the important thing (plus the fact we played so poorly in the 2 following games)

What I found most ridiculous was people who though chelsea would be scared to play us again - be real, they were laughing at us losing our heads and blowing a two goal lead

It wasn't a moral victory or anything to celebrate, it was a game we should have won that we threw away. Chelsea and eventually arsenal (thanks to Newcastle) had the last laugh

I don't think the last game will have any baring on today's game

I understand the pessimistic outlook towards the game - we've been poor and they've the form team top of the league plus we never win there

But I think we turn up more against the bigger teams and I think we will turn up again today and battle hard and earn a draw

Frankly I'd be happy with that

Anyone trying to pull an upside out of that game is delusional. If we were losing 2-0 and started kicking them about I might have been able to take a modicum of enjoyment from the debacle. But we weren't.

We pissed away a two goal lead, chance of a title and handed a bitter rival our brains as the only trophy they won all season on a silver fucking platter.

I think that will suit us better in that we may be able to keep 11 on the pitch. We need some composure which is what flew out the window last time.
