We're not going to sign Leandro, Adebayor and Remy. It just won't happen. I think we'll be looking at one or possibly two from those three, plus VDV, Saha and young-un, loan or cheapy.

If we sell Defoe and use Remy primarily as an inside right, I think it is possible we could be in for all 3.

@Rupert_Fryer: Leandro Damiao: "I want to stay [at Inter], bt there comes a time when you must leave. For now, I'm happy here, tho." Well that was worth it

Obviously, we are not going to sign all three of Remy, Ade and Leandro.
In dreamworld we'd get two of them.

If we sell Defoe (as seems likely) we wont have any forwards at the club. Will we really have 7 CBs, yet only 2 forwards?

We play one up front and as long as we keep that predominant formation we can't have more than 2 first-choice level strikers.

but if one of those can play as wide forward he also gets playing time, whilst providing the Lennon cover that we need.

Brazilian ace Leandro Damiao has hinted that it could be the right time for him to leave South America.
The international striker has been linked with a host of clubs across England, Italy and Spain.

Tottenham are known to be long-term admirers and failed with a bid to land him last summer, whilst Italian giants Juventus

have been linked in the past few weeks.

The 22-year-old signed a new long-term deal last year, and suggested he would stay in Brazil until 2014.

However, he has now suggested that he could now be ready to move on.

"I can't say much, it depends on Internacional too," he told a press conference.

"Of course my wish is to stay, but there comes a time when you need to go, but I don't know whether it is that time.

"If an offer arrives, then we will decide."

Internacional boss Dorival Junior admitted they have to be braced for an offer.

"We have to get ready," he said.

"There is nothing concrete yet but it is natural that several players draw attention.

"We will try to anticipate any loss by signing another player to minimise any damage [to the team]."

I refuse to even buy into the hype. This has to be the fourth transfer window in a row that we've been linked and still nothing.

Personally I believe we have a better chance of signing Adebayor than we do Leandro.

would personally love us to sign damiao, more than any other striker we're linked with. if he succeeds, and it looks like he has all the right attributes to we're set up top for the next 10 years.....or until someone buys him in which case, we're in profit. to dare is to do

We were linked to Sandro for ages before signing him too. Let's just wait and see what happens.

Chelsea will probably sign him now Drogba is leaving.

That would really rub our noses in it wouldnt it!

I'd like to see us take a punt on this lad, however if the interest is genuine, we're clearly not on the same wavelength as inter in terms of costs/payments. This makes me skeptical it will happen sadly.

Not seen enough of the lad to say how much he's worth really? As much as inter have tried to rinse out of the deal?
