Id say this potentially isnt one to lose any sleep over since i think if we want him we could have him. Given we were very close in Jan you have to assume a fee had been agreed or was close and potential wages had been discussed. All the new quotes are suggesting both the club and the player are open to the move so one would assume if we want him we know what we have to do. So i guess if Levy wants this to happen it will and if he doesnt then it wont, balls in our court.....

No, maybe you need to read the original response again, take note that it ended with a statement about how ridiculous the TWEET was, followed by a "lol", then you'll perhaps be able to see & acknowledge that it was the TWEET I was mocking, not 'Powder Keg' for posting it.

I'm genuinely worried you may need counselling before we get to Sept 1st 2013 mate..... Have a beer in the sunshine and chill

Antilokhos - You're right fella, people have COMPLETELY misunderstood my post, though I thought I'd made it clear I was mocking the tweet, not the person who posted it on here, via the very last line I put in my response to it. I've dropped it, they seem to have dropped it, so hopefully the subject can move on & people will just continue to neg rep the shit out of it because they're not seeing it in the context in which it was written..

On a side note, though, I resisted neg-ing your post because nobody on here knows the circumstances of individual members. The reason I was going to neg it is because I have an autistic son, he is classed as 'retarded' & although I understand that people find mocking retarded people (I used to do it too when I was younger, I guess life is a great teacher?) I personally find it a bit offensive. The ironic thing is, even though my son is classed as retarded, at 7 years of age, he can write joined up, he knows all of his times-tables, he can solve literally ANY puzzle that's put in front of him, and give him an XBox game & he'll beat any bastard on here without even breaking a sweat lol.. Cleverer than any kid I've ever come across in my life :)

As a person who works with individuals with intellectual disabilities, I agree completely.

A few years ago, when I was younger (and didn't have the contact I've had with people who are often coined the term) I probably would have found it somewhat humorous. But, when you get to meet people with Down Syndrome, etc., it really changes your outlook on the whole "retarded" word.

I think most around here know that I can take/give a joke, so hopefully this doesn't make you all view me as some curmudgeon internet asshole who can't have fun.

Just hope it happens quickly then mate, as pretty much all ITK has suggested MUST happen, otherwise we'll move on to other targets.

Spent a year working with people with Down Syndrome at a place called Devonport Guildhall. I was supposed to be there to teach them how to 'channel' through sports activities, they ended up teaching me MUCH more than I could ever teach them. They even introduced me to, and taught me how to play Indoor Bowls. Surprisingly hard game, to me. They had it down to a fine art, mate. They could judge the swing, the weight, the spin & curl etc etc, perfectly. Perhaps the most rewarding year of my young life!!

Damiao just really doesn't want to let us love him.

Like, seriously. Even if you don't want to come here, throw us a fucking bone and just give us some damn lip service.

Instead, his comments sound like we are that girl at the bar that on most occasions you probably wouldn't talk to but it's 1:00 AM and it's getting late and you want to bring something home. "Meh, well, I gotta screw something" comes to mind.

I don't only come on here during the transfer window though :).. This place is awesome, with a capital A!! I'll always stick up for myself though, if I don't, how can I tell my kids to do the same thing? Just hope I don't ever catch any of them smoking something stronger than a cigarette. If I do, I'm fucked there

Really? It was way back, 1992, when I worked there and, with no disrespect, the area was bloody awful. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was boarded up. Oddly there was an absolutely brilliant pub, just over the road from the Guildhall, where we used to take everyone for lunch on Mondays. Is it still the same up there (as in Devonport itself not being too nice)?... By the way, I grew up in Seven Sisters (live in Cornwall now), so, in comparison, Devonport was like Buckingham Palace!!
