I just wish we we move on. The player has never once come out and said he wants to play for us. The agent is just looking to invite bids. The club will no doubt at the 24th hr change their mind on an agreed price and ask for more money. I just think it is time to move on. Thanks for the 24 transfer windows of being 'nearly there', but lets try and find less difficult transfer targets. Dare I say it, but I don't think it would be the end of the world if he didn't come.

I have a feeling that our negotiations with inter have fallen through already. All the ITK has fallen quiet on it. And we are being linked with lots of other top class strikers. I think that if we were that close with LD, DL wouldn't be looking at other options

I guess the club/ agent hopes that there would be more offers / price rise after the Confederations Cup
As greedy as usual
However, The starting forward in the cup is Fred, not him o_O

Why are we still mucking around with this guy ? no one else seems to want him and time is ticking on once again. Set a deadline, do the deal by then, or move on.

I kind of agree with this, but then do wonder if all the public links with other strikers are deliberate, showing Inter we won't be held to ransom and are looking elsewhere if they don't want to deal.
Personally, I do think Baldini's appointment may have some bearing on our transfers. He will know the Serie A options, especially Pjanic and Osvaldo.

Didn't think of it that way, great shout!

I guess only Levy and AVB know who they want more

a lot of teams seem to want him actually, they just dont fancy the risk at the high price Inter have set for him considering he isnt proven. And neither do we

i think we should move on from leandro

He doesnt have any desire to play for us and frankly doesnt look anything like a 15m+ striker to me. unless we are paying no more than 7-8m i cant see why we dont just wheel our barrow elsewhere.

How the F do you 'he has no desire to play for us'? From what I've seen everytime he is asked about moving clubs he is just respectful to his employees by stating he is happy to play for Inter until the president accepts an offer for him. Surely that is the right thing to do? All ITK has pointed to his club messing us about as they are trying to get top whack for one of their assets. This is their prerogative.

I just don't accept all this rubbish that he doesn't want to play for us. Until his club accept a offer for him it would be unprofessional for him to rock the boat at a club who gave him the chance to showcase his talents.

pretty certain he is quoted regarding his desire to play in italy.

either way, i have never been overly impressed with him over the entire course of our pursuit. i think people are just enamored with the idea of buying a brazilian striker.

Move on, not worth the time, money and effort. Just not a great player and not even proven in a decent league.

The ITK saying he would be ours by last weekend should be sacked. We're not even in the boradroom yet by the sound of it.

The ITK that was passed on said "should" not "would".

Well the one I seen anyway, there's been quite a few Leandro rumours over that last 10 years ;)

we should give them a ultimatum right before the CC. we tell them X(3-4m lower than the max we gonna pay) amount, right here. if you dont accept now and we will never come back with a bigger amount regardless of how he does in CC

option 1 : he sells ( unlikely)
option 2: he rejects.

after CC
option 2a: ultimatum bid rejected and damiao flops, go back in with a low ball offer
option 2b: ultimatum bid rejected and damiao flourish, we go back with a same amount and if we are rejected again but got close enough, close the deal with that extra few mil that we kept aside

option 3: sign benteke or villa or soldado! YAY!

How long have you been on this forum?

Anyone who knows anything about ITKs will tell you that no one reliable said he would sign last weekend.
