At the end of the day we didn't want it enough.

Players like Son, Kane and Bale did not work hard enough for the team. Spent more time jogging around than tracking back when they were needed.

Especially those three need to be the leaders in the team and lead from the front and personally I feel they let us down.

Masons tactics were wrong and he did nothing to address them. Players attitude stank today. Second to every ball and a complete lack of fight. Special mention to Dier whose performance was one of his worst even by his standards. Aurier failed to stop a single cross. Lo Celso the invisible man. A combined lack of effort from the team along with novice tactics has left 5th place (I didn’t even contemplate 4th) out of our reach. Farmers league here we come.

The motivation from Mason looks to be wearing off. The crux of our problem is the lads have all the talents in the world but they totally have a lack of knowledge in playing football as a team. The incoming manager really needs to coach that into them, else we can sign Messi but he will add no value at all.

Do we have any sports psychologists employed at the club? Really think the club needs to start looking at improving that side of things. We’re so mentally weak it’s almost unbelievable. Every player just seems to buckle whenever any amount of pressure is applied. That goes for all of them. From Kane right to the least talented members of the squad.

The lack of effort is pathetic.

When Raphina got played in there Hojberg just jogged back. No intention of challenging at all.

They just want it more. How many times in the last 3 years has that been the case. Pathetic!!!

I thought we had stopped Dier & Toby from hitting long balls, weve lost possession every single time, I dont think it matters who comes in as manager, they wont be able to make some of this lot any better.

The one thing that really pisses me off more than most is we never play like we're losing at the end of games.

I can understand taking Dele off but for me you play Bale for 90 minutes regardless - he has the talent to score from nothing at any time. Lucas for Dele would've been enough.

Except him costing us the second goal

Feel sorry for whoever decides to take this mess of a job. Awful both on & off the pitch. This will take many years to fix.

Under Pochettino Dier wanted to play midfield and tried to turn himself into a CB under mourinho when he realised he couldn’t play midfield anymore

Disagree all you want madcatman77 it’s in Pochettino’s book
