A performance more down to the quality per player than actually having any sort of game plan or tactics but a decent win and keeps us above arsenal and wet spam
Compare how we play now, with how we played under Mourinho. Tactically, very different - both in attack and in defensive philosophy.

Fully agree. I think as an isolated performance, it may not look like much, but when you compare it with how we were under Jose in which we were mostly in our half and without the ball, it is quite different and definitely improved.

good win, no coherent system of play but a good win nonetheless. players were playing with more freedom. I am pleased with the win but would prefer more movement off the ball especially diagonals. it is a bit harder to do when passing accuracy is what it has been but we would be far more difficult to defend against.

Good win, seemed surprisingly routine in the end. Thought Dele did well, and Kane looked back on it, after a couple of lacklustre displays.
Without doing down the performance too much though, Wolves were helpful. And look a shadow of the side from a year or two back.

But back above WH at least.......COYS!

Teeing us up nicely for whoever comes in who we expect will be an appointment that will mean we are back playing on the front foot with effort and a bit of flair and excitement.

How have we managed to get above WHU. They must be pi55ed off big time.
Trust me they are as I have heard nothing all weekend from them.
Especially as they have had their best season for 30 years whilst we have had an off one and yet we are still above them.

Yeah definitely mate. I watch us in a performances like today's and I do think there really is something there for someone to work with. And like you say, hopefully it will help in that the players are already a bit loosened up in terms of how they can perform on the pitch, as opposed to going straight from how they were with Jose and having to get that out of their systems.

Winning these next two games is important for packing the players off for the summer in a positive frame of mind. Important I think.

We might beat Villa, we won't beat Leicester. Spam will frinish above us. UEFA Conference League for us next season.

Ahh, what a nice, comfortable win all the while showing evolution from where we were. I can't wait to see how happy people are on Spurs Community.

... Oh...

The first half was like two teams on their holidays. Low tempo, low intensity, low effort and low quality truth be told. Neither team interested in pressing or closing the ball or getting into a solid shape, yet neither team with the urgency on the ball to punish that and the sporadic moments that did come about were as quickly barbecued. On the balance of play/pressure/territory we probably deserved to be ahead, but it was turgid stuff all round.

Second half Wolves somehow managed to be even more passive and abject, we slightly improved but mainly just dominated proceedings therefore by default, eventually got the second goal and then, apart from the few minutes after we went 2-0 up and lost focus and coughed up some chances, strolled our way to the final whistle.

Beat what was in front of us, which wasn't very much, three points and ta very much. Two games left and the end finally in sight.

Well played match and unlucky to not score at least one more. Dier had one of his better if not best gave in a while. PEH, man of the match for me.

Don't get the LC love or Winks hate in this. Lo Celso's passes were mostly under hit all day slowing the player down and giving the defender a chance to get back in the play. Winks comes in after we had stopped pressing but split the lines with 2 or three passes and really never put a foot down wrong.

Not saying Winks should start, just that based on today's match I don't understand what some of you are saying. Actually thought LC was the wink link most of the match.
I think you want a bit fraudian there at the end....

Nice performance today

generally our performances against lower half teams this year have been decent but then we struggle and come unstuck against the divisions better sides
