Really can't see how Pritchard and Njie are not fit enough to at least be on the bench. No game changing options from the bench at all

Because we have no other strikers? These are desperate times. What is the point of putting four central midfielders on the bench?
I would rather not ruin his confidence, he is nowhere near ready yet. He's much better staying in the u18s.

Im actually kind of happy that eriksen isnt playing TBH. Dembele and eriksen tend to get in each others ways. So dembele now gets to play no 10. I think he'll do well.

Make or break for lil miss lamela

Hate the negativity but with the selection, our bench, and our transfer policy it isn't surprising really is it. Still hopefully the lads can respond Coys!!!

Or a team that can't tackle competently. Of those 15 fouls against Stoke, Lamela conceded three of them within five minutes of being subbed on, and another was the needless foul that led to the penalty and the beginning of our collapse.
Good point but nonetheless there has been a change of pattern from three or four years ago. They didn't even try to tackle back then.

We have no real idea if N'Jie is match fit and ready so I'll have to reserve judgement.

Having said that, its obvious Pochettino likes to slowly integrate new players and you can see the positives with that. However, its obvious our play needs an injection of something and if this N'Jie with pace to burn is match fit and ready I find it disappointing that he's not on the bench.
In that case we won't have a full squad to pick from until We've already played 10 league games

They have even got 2 very decent strikers on tehbencf FFS. It is ludicrous that we have allowed this to happen.

This is Poch's decision, he's left N'jie out of the squad.

Look at Leicester,

Inler signs yesterday, straight on the bench.

Would love to know why Pritchard isn't on the bench and we could have actually done with Oduwa as an impact sub right now, absolutely no game changers on the bench at all. Happy that Onomah is there but I don't see him as the type of player to bring on to change a game.

Ion the subject of leaders, thought last year Bentaleb looked like a future captain, so far this season he's looked anything but

How on earth can anyone make any kind of determination on this type of thing after the very limited number of games and his very limited appearance in them? This seems like the type of conversation that is only possible a third of the way through the season. How quick some people are on here to pass judgement beggars belief.

I'm really interested to see how we do with Lamela in the ten position, if that's the way we go. Its not like Eriksen has been in red hot form lately either.
