Cheers guys. I'm glad you have all let me know that we lost, many of our players are shit, Lamela did not one thing all game and that Poch is clueless...

Saves me wasting my time supporting spurs and watching a game of football this afternoon....

How on earth can anyone make any kind of determination on this type of thing after the very limited number of games and his very limited appearance in them? This seems like the type of conversation that is only possible a third of the way through the season. How quick some people are on here to pass judgement beggars belief.

You don't need a third of a season to see when someone hasn't been putting the effort in...

Not worried about Lamela in the ten, more worried about the inclusion of Carroll and the exclusion of N'jie and Pritchard... What's the point?

Very uninspiring team, that midfield two is barely top 10 quality

This is Poch's decision, he's left N'jie out of the squad.

Look at Leicester,

Inler signs yesterday, straight on the bench.

I've just put a tenner on Thauvin to score the winner against Utd.

I'm really interested to see how we do with Lamela in the ten position, if that's the way we go. Its not like Eriksen has been in red hot form lately either.

I'm also interested, its the role I always wanted him to play tbh but to not have a decent backup if he does have a shit game is a bit stupid, Pritchard should be on the bench.... Otherwise it'll be Dembele.... Again.

As for Njie, wasn't his work permit confirmed just yesterday? Maybe it was done too late to include him in today's squad.

I really hope Lamela is the one behind the striker. It's his natural position and he's pretty hopeless on the wings

Urgh no Trippier starting again wtf...

And no Rose either...

Nice to see Onomah on bench though :)

I've said it over and over again, but N'Jie was injured at Lyon before he came to us. He was out of training for a few weeks, so it's not a surprise he isn't even making the bench yet. Also, people need to understand that he isn't a ready made first XI player. He only broke through at Lyon halfway through the season and even then, the system Lyon play is completely different to Pochettino's. Just like all of our signings other than the seasoned Alderweireld, he'll probably be a squad player plying his trade in cup matches for a while.

Eriksen injured i'm assuming as i've literally just seen the team sheet.

Easing back Rose granted but i'd still feel better when he's slotted in a LB although Davies hasn't been too bad.

Not convinced Mason and Dier in a CM2 is the way to go but we can forget formation changes with Poch at this stage but interesting to see how Lamela and Dembele line up - Erik right and Dembele behind Kane or vice versa?

I guess those complaining about no Prtichard have got access to his medical details then? Frustrating but if he's not ready then there's not much we can complain about.

N'Jie should definitely be on the bench though IMO

Poch is so predictable in his team selections, we have only one point from two matches and need to change things up. I would still prefer Rose,Trippier and Ali to be playing and it is ridiculous we have no attacking options off the bench. I don't care if Njie is not fully fit, i'm sure he would still be capable of 20\30 mins, what happens if Kane has to come off again?

N'jie was never in a million sundays starting for us today so i'm certainly not surprised but would have liked to have seen Pritchard, even on the bench although encouraging to see Onomah - will we see him though?

As always, I love how so many of you are fully aware of the fitness of all our players in the team and who should be playing and who isn't and all of that.

Pritchard has played what, 45 minutes for the U21s since coming back from injury? I would be surprised if we saw him before September for the first team. No rush to put him in the team. Clinton again no rush, he's only just come this week so let the players who know how to play with each other take this one and maybe see him next week on the bench or something like that?

Yes, depth is an issue but we knew that and Levy knows that and Poch knows that and they're working on that. Would have been great to have it all sorted now but as been said numerous times it's never that easy.

I like our team today, it's more than capable of beating Leicester, we just actually need to turn up today (and that's with accepting that Leicester are a good team, they're on form so it'll be a challenge but we have and are playing quality players so should be up for the challenge)

Hopefully vice versa. I want Dembele to get used to the wings, more space to take players on, and doesn't involve intricate passing. Complete opposite goes for Lamela, doesn't have to take players on but can pass it well.

Not picking on you but seen a lot of people saying Poch is so predictable with his team selections... well yeah. He is. How is that an issue? Man Utd's team selection is predictable, Chelsea's is. City's is. Leicester who we're playing today... predictable team selection. I don't see the issue there.
